    I hate how people seem to think that everyone wants to stay on Windows 10 because they are so attached to it. Windows 10 fucking sucks. The problem is that Windows 11 is even worse and on top of that it is locking out “old” hardware that is still perfectly usable.

    I hate the scumbags at MS. If Linux had just a little bit better compatibility and was just a little bit more user friendly………..

    what literally is the problem of not wanting to migrate to windows 11? ive been using it for over 6 months and ive had no problems, it feels the same as windows 10???

    I’m thinking of hooking up with this new OS called SteamOS.

    It’s a little exclusive right now but apparently it’s getting ready to show themselves to the world and I feel like this time it’s gonna be the one.

    Windows has just gotten a little too clingy for my liking I think we need to take a break from each other.

    Windows 10 was everything, but good and that’s still the case to this day. Just remember that this was the version that introduced ads, sponsored apps and is literal spyware. With Windows 10, Microsoft took the choice of default browser and apps from us, forcing us to use their crappy apps. Not to mention the end of thorough testing from their side making users guinea pigs.

    Windows 11 is just Windows 10 with better design; it’s the same Windows 10 you love behind new icons and themes. I’ve been using them both and I can’t find the difference in functionality.

    Some people will problaly hate on my comment, but you guys don’t realize that it’s not only the Operating System that makes your pc slower or faster. YES, it has a lot of impact too, but when there’s other problems like bad optimizated games, you can not really just blame everything on W11. Usually games made by developers like Microsoft’s own studios perform identical, sometimes a little bit better than the older W10.

    Should you blame Microsoft and Windows 11? YES. Definitely with those bloats it should be blamed. Should you blame everything on Microsoft and Windows 11? No. You should also blame the GPU drivers and game optimizations.

    Windows 11 overall is for sure better but the system requirements are crazy strange. Most people problaly remembers even Microsoft did use a not-supported CPU for their W11 showcase.

    As much I was hesitant to move to Windows 11 and I was avidly sticking to W10, I can’t fault W11 any more than I could W10. As much as I still prefer most of the looks of W7, I don’t like going back to the clunky things W7 had. No, neither W10 nor W11 are perfect but in the end I have no issues with it at all. If there is one thing I really don’t like about W11 is the taskbar; I want a smaller taskbar, able to have a quick start menu in it and I want all my tabs to be exactly the same size. But for most of what I do, I can deal with it and I am not that slower with what is offered. That is literally the only thing I found that truly annoys me at times, but not enough to have on W11. Yes, I do also use Linux on older hardware that cannot go to W11. I’m ok with the TPM limitations it in the end as Linux runs that much smoother on it, there is also no solid reason to use intensive stuff on it anymore as it started to struggle with what I needed it for anyways.

    11 is shit but that doesn’t mean 10 was good. 10 fucked me multiple times with it’s bullshit auto updates and auto restarting crap.

    7 was the last good Windows version. XP was the best.

    Sure you need to debloat windows 11, but lets not pretend like you don’t have to do that with 10 as well.

    Not to mention I had way less “Windows jank” issues, mainly audio settings resetting, ever since I switched.

    Was planning on keeping 10, then my entire system rolled over and died. Ended up snagging a prebuilt with a 5080 since most of my old one was junk.

    11 came pre-installed. After some consideration, I broke 11 over my knee so it conformed to my preferences. Besides this rig has oodles of everything so no latency to bother optimizing away.
