They’re going to put it in a glass case and display it for eons as the game that will release not today but tomorrow.

Why are we here? Just to suffer?

Can’t wait to play Bloodborne 2 exclusively at the San Diego Zoo next year.

This game is not going to live up to the hype/dev time.
It’s going to be very polished, and have all of the good things that Hollow Knight had. But it’s been *at least* six years of development, and ~~14~~ 11 years if you want to count the time spent on developing it as DLC prior to 2019.
Have a feeling the reception is going to be “yeah it’s a great follow up to Hollow Knight….but it’s hard to see why it took 3 generations to complete.”
Tough_Enthusiasm_363
This game better be triple the size of the first title or at least have several expansion packs that were developed in parallel

> Australia’s national museum of screen culture, ACMI
Huh, I thought it was just the state of Victoria’s museum. Am I wrong or is IGN wrong?
oxob3333
hey, that’s a really creative copium silksong post… wait… where is the tag?…
Cloud_N0ne
I never played the original Hollow Knight, but after how poorly managed the sequel has been, it makes me not want to even give these fuckers a dime.

Funny enough, last time I visited the ACMI in 2024 (Melbourne, Australia) they did have an exhibit in the gaming section for Hollow Knight containing concept art. Iirc it was one of the playable games on display alongside Cult of the Lamb, Webbed, and Unpacking (+more).
It’s a super cool museum for film and gaming history. Did not expect to see Dream Daddy in a museum setting on the gaming timeline wall to acknowledge LGBT games lol.

> The game showed up for the hardware-focused presentation in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment that included little more than a few seconds of new gameplay and confirmation of Team Cherry’s updated launch plans. It was the most meaningful update on Silksong in years.
LMAO

ACMI have had some pretty good video game exhibitions. Putting this one on my list.

I forgot which boss on the first game made me quit and uninstall lol. FTR I think the game is amazing, but I was not good enough to finish.

To all the people complaining about how much time it’s been. The Hobbit book came out 17 years before the first Lord of the Rings book. Sometimes it takes time to fully finish a vision.

Alright everyone heist movie go!

This game doesn’t exist until I can actually download it.

I mean at this point I honestly don’t care much about the game anymore. It comes out when it comes out, and if it looks amazing sure I’ll cop it, but definitely not paying it anymore attention.
Games with very long development cycles across console generations usually wind up pretty shit so gotta take that into account.

Museum is a bit of an injustice to the ACMI. It’s the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, located in the heart of Melbourne, and consistently has great events and exhibitions related to TV, cinema and video games.
