custom then clean driver installation every time
XWasTheProblem
You gotta make sure it’s not trying to sneak in some extra garbage.

I bought my first pc 3 months ago. Which one’s the best as a noib

Fool me once, shame on me.
throwawayzdrewyey
The express option has changed some of my settings back to default more than once, so I just to custom install.
Cheap_Collar2419
Clean install.
Cpt_Sandur
Express so I cant fuck anything up and proceed to rant on Reddit when it doenst work 😂
Sputek
Not reinstalling the audio drivers every goddamn time even though they haven’t been updated is why you choose custom.
arcaias
Just trust the corporation, they probably have your best interest in mind.

i use custom because i don’t want the nvidia audio hdmi driver for my setup because i don’t use it
Runescapemaster420
Remember when everytime you downloaded a program if you hit express you installed 3 different ad-ware programs

I swear i saw exactly same meme here a few months ago.

Always custom.
girl__fetishist
Exact same options? Fuck no I’m not installing those audio drivers.
My monitors are not speakers Nvidia
Dial-M-For-Malistrae
I always do a clean install of my drivers too it’s a tip I got from Jay’s two cents
xblackdemonx
Actually I choose custom to make sure the Nvidia Experience app doesn’t install.
xXThe_Mask
I’ve been burned by surprise McAfee way too many times to trust that button on any installer.
halfanirishman
Custom and never install the Nvidia app. Mainly because the Nvidia GPUs I work with regularly had their driver support axed years ago.
GH057807
I don’t want the HD Audio driver, damnit.
BradleyAllan23
I’ve always used express installation, and I’ve never had an issue.

At least you know what you’re choosing though, that’s what matters.

I want to see what it wants to install. I don’t like gforce experience or whatever it’s called now and choose not to install it. nvidia control panel works better for me.
scruffles87
Sometimes it still comes in clutch. Core Temp still tries installing good game empire with the default options..
AggravatingChest7838
Yeah but it’s always good to check. I hate when a bunch of crap defaults to my boot drive.
Zhe_Wolf
Every time I use express the driver’s break. When I use custom the chances of them breaking is lower but not zero. Fuck Nvidia and their 50 series cards with broken drivers that even break my 40 series card
