It has a lot less visual diarrhea going on, which was a big gripe with BL3. Other than that, more looty shooty is always good but hopefully the story puts a brake on the memes ffs.

Drop rates corrected. Story is taking a tone similar to the original game. Separate campaign difficulties during co-op. My takeaway from the state of play is that Gearbox definitely listened to feedback from BL3.

Game and it’s gameplay looks good which is great. The writing though will ultimately be what makes or break this game. BL3 was pretty easily the best game in the series from a gameplay perspective, but it’s rough story still haunts it to the day. Hopefully BL4 is able to course correct.

I watch the trailer and it feels like a rehash of the last 5 games. Maybe i’m just not the target anymore like I was back around BL2 when it was peak.

My opinion of this franchise is pretty soured after BL3. Especially because of the onslaught of nerfs to my FL4K build.
I’m not getting this game in fear of that happening again, not to mention none of these characters are really catching my eye.

hope the scaling isnt as boring as it was in borderlands 2 where you were pretty much forced to use grog nozzle to be able to survive the higher OP lvls

How do games like this deal with separate difficulty options during campaign? Do they just nerf one players damage and resistances?

I didn’t like the third game at all, hated the story and characters. I’ve replayed BL2 more than a dozen times over the years. So I hope this one is similar to the first two games.

And I don’t really like the design of the main cast of heroes. It feels like they wanted to play it a bit safer, but they overdid it with the safety, at least in terms of character models.
