    Wish they would just use ISO (yyyy-mm-dd), that’s unambiguous to pretty much anyone.

    I know just what you mean. My american brain also takes a while to realize, I mean, realise that too when the date is DD/MM/YY. I often exclaim, “D’oh!” in the parlance of our times. Why cannot the world all use the same date and time format, ay yi yi. Why be so diverse when it comes to date and time format. It drives me nuts.
