I'm not ditching windows 10 for sure, i mean what could go wrong? A virus attack? Ransomeware ? Meh…

Maybe both are right and it’s just getting worse

  2. BiBBaBuBBleBuB

I upgraded to windows 10 in 2018, I’m not going to upgrade my windows any time soon

  3. Ordinary_Cupcake8766

Its more about newer stuff not being properly finished and optimized and driver compatible. After years of use ofc it would eventually become more stable…

If Win11 felt like an actual upgrade instead of just a larger number then wanting to stay on Win10 (or being upset about the force change) would be irrational. That’s not the world we live in though.

I hated when it came and i glad that it went 🙂

We’re not going to talk about Windows 8 then

Win10 was clumsy when it launched. But DX12 is/was needed. And it has matured good.

Win11 on other hand brings very few improvements, while requires online ms account, tpm2, and brings on fucked up menus and task bar.

  8. Intelligent-Bad7835

They didn’t go from 7 to 10. This meme is a straight up lie.

  9. eddieltu

The same will be said about Windows 11 in 6 years

  10. Open-Comedian9342

Im the odd man out here but I do not mind windows 11 at all

  11. TONKAHANAH

bruh.. you were using 7 up until 2020?

  12. ItsPaperBoii

Ive said the same thing before in a similar post

Its not that i didn’t want to leave Windows 10, instead i did not want to use Windows 11, there was no attachment to W10, its just that there was no willingness to move to W11. This is how i felt and its how i have seen most other people felt too

So now I’m on Linux, couldn’t stay on W10, didnt want to move to W11, so it seemed like a good alternative

“perfect” being subjective. The preinstalled advertisements and default privacy settings in Windows 10 leaves a lot to be desired. Don’t even get me started with Windows search.

Unfortunately, Windows 11 has even worse privacy with Recall and all the perfectly fine computers now being e-waste. Yeah you can use Rufus or whatever, but for how long? Being dependent on a volunteer to trick compatibility is not sustainable.

  14. KookySurprise8094

Win11 on it self are spysoftware on steroids.

After Windows 7; Microsoft was trying to force us to install Windows 8, not Windows 10.

When 8 turned out to be ass, they tried fixing it with 8.1. But because of how poorly the overall OS was implemented, the whole thing was scrapped in favor of Windows 10 which returned to similar style comparable to 7.

Or just get the 2021 IoT LTSC version. Support until 2032.

  17. CentralCypher

Imagine you actually just upgraded in 2011 when it came out. You would’ve had 16 years on the same operating system. This is why I jump as soon as there’s a new version. Doesn’t matter how shitty, windows 11 got fixed and is fixable. Jumped on windows 11 as soon as it got released and now I’ve been on the same OS for 5 years. When 12 comes out I would’ve already had a decade with windows 11. Nothing changes, it is you sabotaging your own stability by hanging on to old things, LET GO!

  18. sameasiteverwas133

they re both right. windows 7 were the peak windows.

  19. Siddyus

I had reservations with Win 11. I decided to upgrade 3 months ago and since then Im liking it. It feels like an upgrade. All my games have run fine too.

  20. Appropriate_Jump_579

My windows 11 setup is just like a perfect combo of both. Y’all just need to learn the registry edits.

I still have to look them up on a fresh install lol.

  21. smack54az

I’ll gladly go back to 7 ultimate. But Microsoft called Windows 10 “the last Windows ever” and lied. Plus 11 is just ass.

  22. Prediterx

The shitty windows 11 features, always online model and the rest of the crap is forcing my hand to install Linux.

Now valve has created a translation layer which works as well (or better) than native windows, I’ll be moving to that.

Thanks valve, you da real MVP.

  23. I have been here since XP, 7 was nice, and 10 was very nice. It’s 8 we didn’t want to install. 11 is the new 8.

  24. Illusion911

It’s more about the new thing sucking. Idk too much about windows 11, I just know the specs are way too high for me to give it a chance.

I think windows 10 was better than 8, but I still think XP was good and I would have preferred to not change if I could

  25. PreviousLingonberry4

Ive been running win 11 for a few months now and its quite different, ive had to change some stuff like the right click menu because its literally unusable. I miss win 10 but itd be useless to go back to it now that its support is being cut

  26. Bloodclaw_Talon

Only because Win 11 is so much worse.
