If you saved 2 dollars every week since you got the 1080Ti, you would have been able to buy a 5070 Ti
now clean him and put it on the shelf to display for his eternal glory

awww. Mine has been through so much. I have an FE from launch that I eventually dropped the cooler to put a NZXT adapter to a Corsair H60 or something (140mm Rad) and now I have stripped that off of it and it’s passively cooled in a HDPlex Fanless case. Still truckin’.
o7 Same gpu, visual and timeline happened to me. It served us well.
Surprised this hasn’t happened to my 1070ti I even have it undervolted now to extend it’s life with a slight memory boost. AND to top it off it has a broken HDMI port I’m STILL using as it’s the single HDMI port that it has and I don’t have display port cables.

This happened to my GTX 1080 as well 2 yrs ago But I fixed it by undervolting and it still runs today!
you know, i see that lil monitor you have there, you could try to do a memory replacement, its already broken so if it dies then you atleast learnt someting.

This is most likely a memory chip error. The faulty segment does not hold data properly which causes the patterns seen here. I bet ya that can be fixed with the change of the faulty vram modules.

Im glad I retired mine before it died, it’s been through 4 pc gamers, godbless our lord and Savior the 1080 🙏
How do these GPUs die? I am very curious what causes them to give out? Is it because of running them at high temps full throttle or the components on the board wear out overtime no matter how cool you run it?
