this is actually very significant, this event was held in fucking Australia where viewership is fucked due to most of the viewership coming from EU and Americas, especially the former.

Unreal numbers, Counter Strike is bigger than ever. Especially considering the time zone. This should be a good indication that more tournaments in Asia is definitely viable
G_Riel_
Unreal numbers. I could only watch the last map, but it was worth it.

Insane numbers

final map was legitimately worth 7 maps of insanity. You usually get a few shocking clutches a map, this final map had 10 tournament points. Both teams trading insane clutches to save the tournament with both Zywoo and Monesy both having career highlight moments. People lose their marbles over a few tournaments point clutch saves, this map had TEN

I would estimate if we were to include chinese platforms, it would be over 3mil. The time zone is perfect for chinese viewers
Poisonous-Toad

I went to bed at around midnight during the Falcons smashing thinking I’ll just check out the highlights the next morning. I woke up and it was double OT

It seems viewership is slightly down iirc, compared to IEM Katowice Feb was like 1.29M.
Edit: Typo sorry.

Luckily it ran late enough so East Coast NA woke up to a killer 5th map.

I mean yeah.. viewers from europe could catch the last map or 2..
If it had ended 3-0 viewership wouldnt be as much.

Millions watch the 24 Hours of Le Mans at fucked up hours. This shows that passionate fans don’t give a shit about time zones. Give Aus a Major!
