I've only kept a few physical copies of games from the 360 era for nostalgia and of course Lost odyssey is one of them. Looking through the game manual brought me much joy and I just wanted to share that here. I never thought I'd get the same joy from a game but thanks to Expedition 33 I get that feeling again. If you have never played LO I can't recommend it enough, yes the graphics are a bit dated but the gameplay, story and soundtrack will live forever. Good luck out there expeditioners! Is Expedition 33 on Gamepass by any chance?

I had a physical copy of this years ago but one of my old asshole housemates stole a bunch of my shit out of storage containers and by the time I found out they were long gone. I have the digital version though but it’s not the same.

Same here! LO is timeless, and Expedition 33 is pure nostalgia. Love it!

Man, I’ve been ignoring Expedition 33 mostly because I’ve grown out of JRPG’s I think, Lost Odessey and Blue Dragon wwre the last ones I truely enjoyed. Might have to activate gamepass for a spell to try it out.

Oh man I hope it’s not like Lost Odyssey, that game wasn’t very good… Especially the characters

As a ps5 player desperate to play this game, being on Reddit right now is hard lol. I haven’t wanted a game this badly in a long time. I even asked gift of games for a copy of it, something I have never done. That’s how hype I am for this game.

The mini stories in lost odyssey were the lost enjoyable story out of any jrpg I’ve ever played. Fucking nailed it. The goat of story RPGs.

That’s pretty fucking high praise, Lost Odyssey was a phenomenal game.

I tried Lost Odyssey back when it was still fairly new, and just couldn’t get into it. I remember getting to like some little weigh station on a mountain, which is very early in the game, and just constantly getting my ass kicked despite being a veteran of many RPGs. Pretty sure I now have copies on PC and Xbox due to various giveaways, so maybe will have to move it closer to the top of my backlog to try again. This might have also been around the time I had issues with my 360s optical drive not consistently reading discs, and required my sending it in for repairs, which may have contributed to my never picking it back up again.

I bricked my gameplay on LO. I made it to the boss at the end of the train but I was too under leveled to beat it. I only had one save and that save was at the boss so I couldn’t just pop out and go grind to level…

I never finished this game but I still have it. I don’t have an Xbox 360 though.

Kind of similar thematically too in an offhand way
