Is RTX 5070 ti worth the 70€ extra over RX 9070 XT? Both are close to MSRP here in Finland btw.

  1. If there’s only €70 in it, I’d say either of those are good deals.

Bear in mind right now Nvidia is having awful driver problems and AMD’s smooth sailing.

  2. Accomplished_Idea248

i would say so. Slightly more powerful, DLSS 4 is available in way more games than FSR 4, VRAM temps are much lower (some rare 9070’s have Samsung memory tbf).

  3. 5070ti is better card than 9070xt in raytracing so with 70eur difference i would pick 5070ti

  4. Wirenfeldt

Personally i’d go AMD just to dodge the driver nonsense..

  5. Nearby_Specialist511

9070xt beats rtx 5070 and 5070ti for breakfast in raw performance but if you need Nvidia features go for it.

Honestly if I didn’t buy a GPU 2 months ago I’d snag 5070ti at current prices in Europe. Some models are under 900 eur in some countries. 1200 eur on release for cheapest models made it a terrible deal. Under 900 is pretty great for a 4k capable Nvidia card.

If you use Nividia specific software or software that benefits from Nivida cards then yes. If its primarly for gaming the average difference I remember is 5-6% more FPS for the 5070ti and ~15% more raytracing performance. So its rather close.

  8. SmartCoffee4742

5070 is way better at that price

  9. Jumba2009sa

5070Ti even tho I have a 9070xt. With that price difference it’s not even a question.

  10. userbinbash

If you do video editing, you’ll benefit from the cuda cores and native 4:2:2 decoding on the 50 series GPU’s.

  11. Captobvious75

Wild that close of price difference. In Canada, my 9070xt TUF was $1,059. The TUF 5070ti is $1,449.

I’d go 5070ti in your case.

I mean the rtx 5070 ti is slightly better than the 9070xt but i wouldn’t recommend it because 1.the drivers are completly shit at the Moment and Amd has no problems with their drivers. 2.The 5070 ti may has more Raytraycing but rx 9070xt Raytraycing is more than enough and the differences are so little that you wont’t see much differenc. 3.It’s not worth it for 70 dollars. 4.DLSS isn’t even good because the AI frames make the picture unclear.

Like in this picture, what would you say is AI and what is native.

(I don’t hate AI frames I am only saying that native frames are better.)

5070ti is ~6fps faster than 9070xt on raw 2k on 4k is identical

    5070ti has better RT

We don’t talk about dlss 4 vs fsr4 because the differences is not noticeable anymore both are great

If you talk about the features(streaming/recording/edits/productivity) most of the time amd is not existing because they are so bad compared to nvidia because(we have years ahead to compete with each other but i hope udna is gonna be a beast)

  14. nplpoexists

Personally for me 70 euros extra for better ray tracing, dlss 4 and slightly better performance (not that much but still) is definitely worth it in the long run since I will keep my GPU for 4-6 years

  15. LemonOwl_

5070Ti is worth it for $100 or less over the 9070Xt

  16. Lagviper

    Yes it’s worth it

Cyberpunk 2077 path tracing with MFG is insane. Forget all the YouTube drama over fake frames, trust me, try it.

Just for path tracing Cyberpunk / Alan wake 2 / Wukong / Indiana Jones / half life RTX it’s worth the price. It feels like playing a generation ahead.

  17. Big_Relationship752

Don’t buy yet, because if you do prices like this will never gonna go down.

I was in the same boat. And I’d say go with Nvidia. Transformer model DLSS is a killer feature and made me go with team green. Ray reconstruction makes Raytracing image quality far better than on an AMD card. Despite similar RT performance between the two, the image quality is much better on the Nvidia card imo.

5070ti is also pretty overclocking friendly. I can squeeze another 10% out of mine.

  19. Mixairian

Let’s use math. 70€ of 940€ is 7.4%. You’re paying 7.4% more money before taxes. Now you need to watch a few reviews of the 570TI vs 9070XT. In various games with various settings, the percentage lead in performance varies. You’ll need to look at those reviews and games and gauge if the performance beats the additional cost… This is a very subjective process.

If you like raytracing and DLSS, the 5070TI had an advantage according to every review I’ve watched.

Please note I am bias, two weeks ago I picked up a 5070TI for MSRP and I’ve been very happy. DLSS looks great to me, I’m ambivalent on raytracing at the moment, and despite the circle jerk on here, I’ve used Frame Generation and it wasn’t terrible in Forever Winter.

    Good luck!

If it’s just for gaming, then 9070 xt

  21. blingvajayjay

Just got a 5080 for €1080 on Amazon.de last week.

  22. AsasinAgent

I’d say boycott NVIDIA for a while, they are getting way too greedy and and hostile towards customers that aren’t AI bro corps

  23. harry_lostone

    Easily 5070ti

They might trade blows on some titles while in native resolution, but everything else is pointing towards nvidia, when we are talking about similar price. I don’t expect the drivers issues to be permanent, both we and nvidia know that this would hurt the brand greatly, no way they wont come up with a fix.

Just realized tho, if your only option is ASUS prime, well, let’s say that you are in for a wild ride if something goes wrong 😀 I personally wouldn’t buy any ASUS product, and if I did, I would never ever but a Prime series product, which are known to be the worst lower end possible, with a price that doesn’t always reflect that (unlike MSI ventus products which are mediocre but usually on a decent price)
