I just prestiged, and did so in hoping I could complete the Kar98K challenge for Molten Obsidian (Earn 200,000 Weapon XP after unlocking Prestige 1)
I’m level 16, and have been using the Kar98 since I prestiged….but the challenge shows 0/200,000XP.
Is there something I’m missing here? Do I need to be level 55 to start unlocking it? Does the gun need to be max level before I start unlocking it? Do I need to complete other camos first?
I’m super confused.

I might be wrong but I believe it’s bugged.
weapon prestige is seperate from account prestiging. to unlock molten obsidian, you need to first have your weapon max level, then earn 150k xp to unlock the moten gold camo then another 200k xp to unlock obsidian.
Do you have MP BO6?
That’s a reward I would pay money for my gun not to look like that, wtf happened to this franchise
WZ counter is bugged supposedly. it still tracks. if you have MP or gamepass, check there for sure
Yes the gun prestige is different from the rank prestige. Once the kar is maxed out then you start earning weapon prestige xp
IIRC you need to have your gun at max level AND be at least prestige 1
If you have both, the reason this is not tracking could be that it’s visually bugged or it’s not compatible with Bo6 prestiges
It’s likely the former though, since I did unlock a prestige camo for an MWIII weapon not too long ago
