Been playing Lords of the Fallen 2.0 recently and was reminded of how much I love the armor design in this game. It's some of the best I've seen in a dark fantasy soulslike. You can color your armor to mix and match all kinds of designs. The true endgame ends up being fashion.

They killed it with the aesthetic in LotF
I can’t possibly see how any form of bone weapon, shield, or armor would be superior to a metal one, unless it was fossilized, in which case it’s just a club.
Mmm, FLESH.
Armor? I see a dude in a robe.
Game is honestly underrated.
I’ve been a diehard fromsoft fan for years, played every dark souls, Bloodborne, elden ring, etc
Lords of the fallen is honestly probably the best non fromsoft soulslike I’ve played yet, including lies of p. It was a bit rough on launch I’ll admit, but it’s honestly a fun take on the genre, they have everything people like about all the fromsoft games and avoided most of what people griped about and the recent coop update, while making it abit too easy honestly imo, probably makes it the must accessible non fromsoft soulslike out there that’s still kinda faithful to the original theme.
Not to mention, the umbral stuff really takes the level design and exploration to another level, though I do wish they fleshed out the umbral enemies a bit
It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s honestly not a bad game, if you’re looking to scratch a dark souls itch, don’t listen to the reviews on this one. Heck you can play up to the hub for free now to try it out.
That shit looks sick, I love the spinal cord
we grew up in two different era’s of dark fantasy. Cause this is just fantasy to me, edgy sure. But Dark Fantasy is just normal fantasy but it’s themes and world are what makes it dark not. not saying this is bad cause this is awesome. but, I think we got lost in translation on “dark”
*insert bone weapon here* or *have one less metal pauldron*
Really hope they take all they learned with LOTF and apply it to Surge 3
Hadn’t had this much fun since Bloodborne in terms of fashion
Man, I REALLY wanted to get into this game because the overall aesthetic is so cool. But I just couldn’t get over how atrocious the character creator is. Maybe I’m weird for caring about it that much, but I ended up refunding.
