Even if you remove 33 and Oblivion it’s still the best deal for casual gamers.
dubbzy104
I’ve played so many games that I wouldn’t buy otherwise, and a lot of games I would buy! Definitely worth the investment for me
Nanganoid3000
IMO both XBOX Game Pass and PS Plus have been great to use, so many games, saves me so much money, I know even if I like the majority of new games, once I clock them, I don’t think I’d come back to 99% of them, it’s like an online rental store 🙂
esgrove2
I wish they would stop ruining the PC versions of their games.
Edit: unless you play on PC games pass don’t downvote me. They inexplicably have outdated versions of games. Or versions that lack basic graphics options.
AzureGear
This is the fourth day in row gamepass has had a good year.
Hypnocryptoad
Lol I love Reddit. I made a post about this and downvoted to oblivion
TrumpsCheetoJizz
I wish game pass came to ps5. I’m thinking of getting another Xbox just for game pass
whatsinthecave
Gamepass and PS plus are both good deals depending on what games you usually like and how you play games. Being a pretentious gamer who says these things are a waste of money is like saying you can’t play the remaster of a game because you never played the OG. I get tore apart for that opinion, I find it surprising how many people crap on gamepass and ps plus.
Iggy_Slayer
~~Microsoft~~ I mean the media really wants to remind you that gamepass is a thing this month, on the back of 2 notable releases that are selling probably more than they’re being played on GP.
sandhillaxes
Also Blue Prince, been playing that between 33 sessions.
ffgod_zito
With expedition 33 selling like hot cakes and selling out everywhere I wonder if they lump sum they got to go on game pass was worth not putting it on there and selling it outright
kittywithabliccy
I’ve said this for years, but I believe that Xbox GamePass is by far the best bang for buck value you can get. So many great games in there, and if you want to buy it, you can buy it on discount.
fondue4kill
It has. But also it’s changed. You used to just have Game Pass and get Xbox games day one. Now you have to be apart of the Ultimate for that.
vedomedo
I tried Expedition 33, loved it, and bought it.
The_Lat_Czar
A good past week for me. I didn’t dust off the Xbox until Oblivion.
Mando316
I’d rather own my games or at least not worry about a subscription service
No-Pollution1149
Best service in gaming despite what this sub thinks. Phenomenal year for the service and it’s not even done yet
BBJ0nez
I used gamepaas to jump into oblivion being super hyped and seeing all the positive reviews but was pretty disappointed and Quit out of boredom about 4 hours in. Expedition 33 though! Absolutely hooked!
alverez667
Between Stalker, Indiana Jones, 33 Immortals, and now Oblivion I’ve gotten more than my moneys worth this year already. And I plan on going back to stalker once it’s patched up more.

Gamers just need to keep buying games at the end of the day. We cannot let gaming move fully over to subscripition services. These games succeed when people BUY them. If we stop buying them, then they have to fully rely on a middleman (MS) pay out to put it on the GP. The more dependable gamers are on GP, the less MS will pay out to the publishers.
We’ve seen what happens with quantity over quality on Netfilx. So enjoy GP if you have it, but don’t stop buying games to support devs.
Didact67
The problem is I’m gonna want to mod Oblivion, and Game Pass games don’t seem to allow that.
GreyRevan51
I got gamepass for the next two years thanks to my job.
The money I have saved on Avowed, Atomfall, Clair Obscur Expedition 33, the Oblivion Remaster, South of Midnight and soon DOOM the dark ages is crazy
TheBigGalactis
I mean, not really considering they raised the price and it’s currently not available to buy on 3rd party key sites. So I haven’t had game pass in probably 3 months now.
No-Comparison8472
also don’t sleep on Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader, if you enjoyed Baldur’s Gate 3.
Fast_Passenger_2890
I couldn’t care less about Gamepass as I only use it to try out games and collect perks as I buy games physically, but for those that think so, more power to them.
Tyrantkv
I literally just near avowed today. Already have oblivion running (xbsx ability to have multiple games on quick resume is the most underrated feature of this gen) and I’m about to start 33. I’m going to peak at commandos today because I’m guessing the novelty will wear off but it’ll be a cool multi hour flash back.
anticerber
Finally. It seemed despite the oddball or two a lot of last years later half was meh.
ClacksInTheSky
People 3 new releases into subscription services is going to devalue those games.
firedrakes
It’s been a banger year for gp
ItsTheDickens
Game Pass is amazing. I get it for free each month via Microsoft Rewards by using Bing and playing Game Pass games. It’s so good that I ended up buying an XSX even though I already have a PS5 and Switch.
I’ll note that Bing kinda sucks but it isn’t a huge time commitment and I get to play a ton of games for free.
ghostagent151
I’m not into not owning games and paying a subscription for access to play them for a certain period of time.
Mechanized1
Blue Prince, Oblivion and Claire, quite a month!
Daytman
When Oblivion dropped, I went to reup my Gamepass that I thought I canceled about a year ago. I didn’t… so now I’m on a quest to make up for a year’s worth of “that looks good but I don’t want to sub to Gamepass just for that.”
ZigyDusty
Yes it is i have so many games i want to play on GP by time i’m done playing the games i want i would have played $500+ worth of games for around $36-$48(3-4 months of gamepass PC, technically free because i use MS points)
I find it hilarious when people shit on gamepass and pretend its a bad thing, i can only assume they’re Nintendo or Playstation fanboys that are jealous because if they had the option to play their first party titles day one on the cheap they’d by hyping it up for sure.

If I didn’t like having my games on steam I’d def get gamepass. Maybe in the future.
Gold_Comfort156
Game Pass has been fantastic this year. It’s a $240/year subscription, which basically is 3-6 games if purchased between $50-$70 a game, and by the quantity of games I’ve played on it, it has already paid for itself.
Right now I’m playing Expedition 33, which is amazing, as well as Indiana Jones, which is great, and South of Midnight, also a lot of fun.
I don’t need or want physical, so I’m totally fine playing the game and moving on to the next game.
I was mostly a Switch gamer but I’ve been playing far more Xbox as of late.
