I’ve found one dead person that must’ve jumped from a skyscraper with a suicide note in his pocket. Really the only interesting thing I’ve found while diving

I don’t think there’s anything worthwhile in the water aside from several locations related to quests that’s pointed out by the system when said quests get triggered.

Not in most large bodies of water, no. There’s a small handful of places where there’s something in the water, but usually there’s a shard or something that points you in that direction. I’m trying to remember if there’s any specific spots I found, but definitely not in the area pictured. I swam all that and didn’t find anything. I sure as hell used Take Control and Floor It to send dozens of NCPD squad cars into the water, though LOL

Not really. Occasionally there’s an unimportant story character dead on the bottom. No good loot.

Prior to the post 1.6 revamp, there was a perk you could take that helped you breath in the water. It confused everybody.

Yes! You know the Cyberpsycho on the end of the pier? Starting from there, facing inland walk toward land on the left side of the pier. There’s stairs down to a lower dock with a body on it, with a shard. There’s a fun little water based treasure hunt starting there! GOOD LUCK!

GTAV, Fallout IV, and Cyberpunk miss the some great opportunities with large bodies of water. Give the fans a couple things underwater. A couple of secrets, explorable, and an underwater animal and you have immediate buzz and extending the gameplay.

Like, I’m not complaining. Night City is amazing and underwater physics creates a lot of issues. But just a little bit would go a long way

I think that between Japantown and Watson or between Watson and City Center there is a large building in the middle of the water that looks like just scenery, but there are some aggressive turrets, loot, dead people and some shards with the story and a reference to the witcher 3 in the port of pacifica, a body with a shard that informs that there is a contraband package under a bridge near that region, and there is an important person from the beginning of the story dead somewhere under the water, I never found that one.

The woman that takes the corpo guy hostage, very beginning of the game, can later be found tied to a platform underwater as punishment for failure

  9. talivus

There is a couple I know. One is by the pier where you can see a weeping woman. In the water is her key or something which you can give her and she stops.

There’s also Meredith if you didn’t help her in her watery grave.

  10. Fuck. No. There are some hidden and secret stuff in the water but it is **EXTREMELY RARE.**

When I first got Cyberpunk, I too thought maybe the waters were worth exploring. I’ve spent so much fucking time swimming in that shit with the shitty swimming mechanic just to find pretty much nothing. Not worth it.

Other than finding Meredith Stout if you went a different direction regarding the mole?

I think you can find the person who ratted out Corpo V in the prologue? You find their car and a data shard near there. I can’t recall if you can find them in the water below.

I think I found a bunch of weapons once. Don’t remember where it was, but I think it was Pacifica. There are also a couple of gigs that lead you to stuff in the water, but those weapons are the only things I’ve ever found randomly.

Unless you wanna get to the launchpad rocket at the spaceport there’s like 5 spots underwater around the city that have anything interesting

  14. LordGarithosthe1st

When you go to rescue Saul, at the back og the compound there is a small lakw with some stuff in it.

Some stuff in Pacifica, there is a guy on the pier below the roller coaster who gives you a clue about a drop in the water.

Not too many but there are some things.

  15. Superfluous_Jam

!SPOILERS! – >!I can’t remember exactly where but if you choose to screw over Militech and Meredith in the All Foods Factory mission you can find her shaved head and floating underwater, tortured and killed by the guy in jer backseat.!<

  16. bossonhigs

Doesn’t look like it. You can find bodies tho.

  17. aclark210

Not in most of them. A couple minor things are in there, but not enough to spend a ton of time in the water.

  18. x420NinjaBearx

Found a car crash a time or two. Some loot. Haven’t found anything crazy myself just yet

  19. PatienceJaded5709

Honestly the water and wastelands are the biggest areas they need to develop and add to in the next game.

  20. FearithThyBeard

Pretty sure you can find something when exploring the water in the Badlands too. There’s like a whole underwater city at Laguna Bend.

  21. Dangercules138

Not really. Theres like 3 things down there and theyre all dead bodies.

  22. 2paranoid4optimism

I’ve found dead racers from the death races, multiple dead reporters/corpo whistle blowers, a guy who got murdered for adding onions to somebody’s doordash order, a couple of botched smuggling attempts and a Witcher 3 themed smugglers drop. That’s just off the top of my head. So yeah, it’s definitely worth exploring.

  23. Wolf_of_Fenris

    There’s a ncpd scanner quest…

  24. Mokaran90

I once launched my Shion so hard that landed in the middle of s body of water. It was a miserable time.

  25. theafterpardy

There’s the dead guy you can find in reconciliation park who rode his motorcycle down the stairs into the water.

  26. qillerneu

The small lake behind the compound where you rescue Saul has a dead guy with katana…

    S Street kid:
“Its called Night city, not Water city…
