I only played Guitar Hero (Specifically Guitar Hero 2) but yeah everyone should experience these games

  2. ibond32

What do you mean? Rock Band is in Fortnite now 🄓

  3. ComprehensiveIssue78

Yes! Also still waiting for DDR to come back. Only game that challenges you to do backflip finishers IRL.

  4. micahman212

Fortnite literally has this dude its exdevs from Harmonix working in it constantly adding new songs.

  5. SlyyKozlov

Nah. Lets Go father back – get DDR dance pads back into everyone’s home.

  6. AndreDus

I am still learning eguitar with Rocksmith+. I love it

  7. Kazurion

I die a little on the inside every time someone mentions it’s in Fortnite.

There’s an amazing game called clone hero that keeps this genre alive, the issue is that controllers are super expensive and no one really makes them anymore.

  9. OctoDADDY069

only if they make 1 game, and continue updating it for decades. the main reason why they declined so hard is the same reason why sports games did.

Rockband was easily a pinnacle point of ā€œcouch multiplayerā€ games — before every game built their online servers around solo experiences, Rockband/Guitar Hero were games that had you looking forward to going to a friends house to take turns: one person you could trust on drums, one person you can trust on guitar, and one person you can trust to hit the high notes

I’m sure there’s some AFV footage of a kid screaming 30 Seconds to Mars somewhere

Trombone Champ would like a word with you

Party games in general. Get people around the TV, make a band, make some teams, and have fun.

Imo it’s why Mario party, kart, smash, Wii sports, guitar hero work so well

  13. _Kzero_

These are still pretty popular. We cant keep any in stock at our local store and we havent seen drums in a couple years.

  14. darkhorseMBA

My understanding is that these games were discontinued over licensing fee issues and record labels.

  15. theastro_not

Bring back couch co op games period. Seems Nintendo is the only one still making them

  16. leonk701

You can go buy the kit on Amazon for $500+

  17. PhunkyPhazon

Agreed. We at least have Clone Hero but I would love to see a new, proper Guiat Hero/Rock Band.

  18. JohnnyYouTaTas

Agreed. It made me feel like being in high school again when we all gathered to play Goldeneye multi-player on weekend nights.

  19. babyjaceismycopilot

It moved to VR with Beat Saber.

  20. Cryptoking300

Naw the genre of THPS, SSX, and Jetmoto needs to come back.

  21. NamelessMIA

Buy a controller from amazon and download Clone Hero. It’s guitar hero but with a level creator so people can make any song they want. There’s a downloader so you can look up songs too like the limewire days

  22. mdubs17

It already did come back, and it wasn’t successful.

  23. duck1014

Music licenses and label greed ruined the games…well that and over saturation.

  24. forestapee

Plenty of rhythm games out there right now too. Granted not with fun instrumentsĀ

Some vr rhythm games hit the spot for that though

  25. doug_kaplan

I wish these games existed also, but Gibson has made the CRKD controller which is up for pre-order it appears and there is Clone Hero but I would love a proper console or PC Rock Band or Guitar Hero!

It’s damn near impossible to find an older Rock Band or Guitar Hero controller without paying an insane amount for it sadly.

  26. venom121212

I think this generation played beat saber instead.

  27. x_scion_x

I did *not* expect to enjoy that game as much as I did.

    Especially w/a group of friends.

My girlfriend’s dad still has Rock Band 4 and so many songs to play with. He actually went out and bought a really nice Roland Ekit to plays drums on with Rock Band hooked up to it. It’s so much fun. I think he also has the keytar, Paul’s bass, John’s guitar, and so many other plastic guitars. Man now I wanna go over there this weekend get drunk with him and rock out lol

  29. GuessWhoItsJosh

It already tried a decade ago and nobody cared enough to buy it.

  30. -WitchfinderGeneral-

This generation isn’t consuming enough rock music to make this viable.

  31. jess_the_werefox

I’ve been this šŸ¤close to buying guitar hero 3 with guitar controllers but everything always looks so dirty or covered in stickers šŸ™

  32. randypeaches

Rock band 4 was a mess. Had customization level between rock band 1 and 2. The game also stutters real bad multiple times per game. I was hoping for a mich better experience than rock band 3 but they dropped the ball hard

  33. chiefofwar117

I will randomly hum Rockband songs on my way to work every now and then. And I haven’t heard some of these songs since I drummed to them lol

  34. asleeplongtime

There’s a reason these games fell out of popularity
