i mean its UE 5 what else did you expect

  2. GCJ_SUCKS

UE5 needing premium hardware to run it well?

    Gasp.

  3. StudentWu

Not even the 6090 can get 120fps on 4k with UE5 games 🤣

  4. Dashwii

Such a shame Cyberpunk 2 is going to be running on this shit engine. At least it’s somewhat far out so there will be more capable GPU’s in the wild.

  5. Gamebryo/Creation Engine with UE5 on top is a trial run for Elder Scrolls 6.

  6. AnxietyPretend5215

All I can say is that it’s bringing my 4090 to it’s knees.

Sometimes I regret going to 4K. I miss the simplicity of 1440p.

Do people not realize that you don’t NEED to set everything to max to play a game?

  8. fREEM4NN

Is it fair to blame the UE5 engine tho? I feel like devs rely too much on for instance DLSS and/or aren’t aware how to work with UEx

  9. Meh, another game using Stutter Engine 5. Im skipping this one

Just turn Ray Tracing off, it’s overrated and not worth the resources.

Ridiculous headline translated for the common folk:

Oblivion Remastered does not run at 60fps when maxed out at native 4K.

  12. I’m getting 60-90 FPS mostly maxed out at 1440p on a 4070 Ti S.

Another UE5 game I have here, The Witch of Fern Island, runs easily over 200 FPS.

    Herp derp UE5.

60 fps in 4k with a 5090? This game runs like crap

  14. TheCrimsonDagger

    Yeah I’ll wait for Skyblivion

  15. DeeJudanne

hasnt that kinda always been the case whenever you want to run things at “fuck you” resolutions and maxed out settings?

9070xt drops to 45 fps at 1440p ultra with RT and FRS Quality outdoors

  17. SuspiciousWasabi3665

Maxed out everything, 4k, dlss4 quality, 5080, hovering at 60

  18. mister2forme

I saw a video of it running around 50 fps in open world on 9070 xt at 4k without upscaling. RT had a minor impact, and doesn’t really add anything to the quality from what I saw.

I can say it runs just fine at 2560×1600 Ultra on my little Z13 with the 8060S. I can even turn RT if I use framegen, but I don’t.

  19. Equivalent-Scale1095

Luckily im only 1440p and plan to stay that way for another few years at least. All maxed out on my 5080 with DLAA and frame gen on. 150+ fps in doors 80+ outside, no noticeable input lag with nvidia boost option on.

What is it with devs using UE5 and then deciding not to do any optimization?

  21. master_criskywalker

Optimization is really a lost art, isn’t it?

  22. Nomski88

UE5 needs to get blacklisted. Unoptimized garbage

  23. FReal_EMPES

And here i am with my 7500f, 32 gb DDR5 5200 MH and a RX6650XT at a mere 25-30 fps at medium settings.

  24. Ashbtw19937

anyone else here remember when Todd said a while ago that part of the reason TES VI was taking so long was bc the tech they needed “didn’t exist yet” or smth along those lines?

gonna laugh my ass off if that tech ends up being UE5’s renderer bc they’re too incompetent to modernize their own 💀

  25. zushiba

Eh it runs fine on my 5080 with frame gen and whatever other bullshit features they have so I don’t care.

  26. Zman2598

I have a 4090 and I can get about ~40fps on native 4k with everything maxed. I play with the ray tracing turned down to low and dlss frame generation enabled and get 140+ fps

  27. Jack55555

Why does it run so good on a 1080 ti? That card is ancient, and I got 45-55 fps outside on medium 2560×1080.

  28. forsencsgo

60fps? Let me get my time machine and go back to 2010
