At least it runs great and don’t have any stuttering, right? Right?

  2. Hour_Bit_5183

brace for all of the 4k crackhouse shots. The amount of drugs in oblivion roflmao. I love this game though.

  3. Myke5161

People are already bashing this game hard. Looks like a flop apparently, until people mod the crap out of this

Someone enlightens me please? Thanks in advance

How is that UE5’s fault? Legit question, not accusatory. I thought any big open-world game with high-res assets will have a large game size.

  6. DeathHopper

Anyone try running it on a 1070? I wanna know if my old craptop can handle it.

  7. SilentPhysics3495

the assets are just that much bigger. its not just the engine.

So my pc doesn’t have the minimum requirement. I don’t know how to build one myself nor do I have the will/capacity to do that. can someone recommend me a prebuild one that’s actually decent?

  9. Purple_Money_4536

Does anyone know of the game has mod support like other Bethesda games? Asking because it wasn’t made by Bethesda and it’s ue5. If it does I imagine modders can figure out decent ways to optimize it better

Do you want detailed/high-def textures and appearance, or do you want disk space? Your choice.

120 is not big and is pretty normal nowadays. Do you expect an open world rpg game to be 6 gb still?

  12. Gardakkan

Soooo many game developers in this post. If you never made a game using UE then stop regurgitating what rage-bait youtubers say and shut the hell up.

Also please stop using the not optimized excuse it’s cringe and you don’t know jack shit what is going inside those studios. Stop trying to act smart and be smart!

  13. EiffelPower76

They just don’t know how to use unreal engine

Too detailed textures, too detailed meshes, this is useless

  14. ImportantQuestions10

Silver lining, it’s in UR5 instead of the creation engine

  15. CuddleKittyX

120GB just to turn grass physics into a GPU stress test.

  16. lexorix

So? It looks beautiful and still has the look and feel of oblivion.

  17. HankThrill69420

and i don’t care. gonna get off work and go save cyrodiil.

  18. nerumesh

Just trying to run it. Looks like absolute dogshit opening a door to a new are means 10 mins of loading. Will post my specs later.

  19. Skyyblaze

Is it at least as moddable as the original?

  20. StingingGamer

SSD’s are not expensive any more, and neither is storage amount. Just get a 1 – 2 TB SSD.

  21. Prize-Confusion3971

Never played oblivion. Excited to get home from work!

  22. evangelion619

Ue5 migration means there are not enuff skilled people to handle more sophisticated engines. We made a game literally using unreal engine in a semester in college. Don’t get sucked into their latest eye candy shit. It simply means they want cheap labor paying minimum wage using simple engine.

  23. CarlWellsGrave

The most recent UE5 games I’ve played (Avowed, Stalker2) have run surprisingly well on my 3080. And with the transformer model hopefully I can do 4K performance mode and it still looks good. Hardware RT is probably out of the question though.

  24. GrandJuif

And run like crap as expected from UE…

  25. Just sprinkle it with mods… puff 470GB

  26. Creepyman007

I still can’t believe Still Wakes The Deep is only 9gb, HOW, HOW DID THEY DO IT

  27. Sad-Guarantee-4678

Gaming on a 500gig laptop is a pain nowadays. Most games coming out are in the 70-100+ gig range
