Having a hard time opening the gate after the Emperor dies.. in fact, almost all the little UI things feel a bit off. Looting bodies, opening chests, picking up items – everything feels like it’s slightly delayed. But I can’t open this gate even with the Captain’s key. I’m spamming the open button, but nothing happens…

What’s with all the whining over the price? Millions of man-hours went into this, one of the greatest games ever made, with hundreds, nay, thousands of hours of entertainment. For fifty bucks. Even at a bill it’s a friggin bargain.

Lol. I feel like this remaster should include 100% of all dlc, except that one horse armor, and charge $5 for it. That would have been the ultimate troll.
I’m 37 years of age, I’ve never played Oblivion, had 600+ hours of Skyrim back when It was released in 2011 (it actually helped me grieve the loss of my mother weirdly enough) . I’ve heard about oblivion over the years but never actually played it. Ive just purchased it today with the hopes that it brings me even half the joy Skyrim brought me back in 2011. Judging from people’s story’s of oblivion consuming there lives I’m quite hopeful I can experience some memorable moments.
How much money?
After Morrowind I was so excited for Oblivion, believe I got a special edition too. The game featured one of my favorite actors voicing the king, Patrick Stewart, and then…uggh
I also couldn’t handle the inventory system… So after like 5 hours I never played it again. Maybe after 20 years I will! But I’ll wait until there’s a sale.

What is really pathetic about this game is that it’s just an asset dump from Unreal engine 5, being sold at full price, and you know what is worse? Elder Scrolls 6 will come out, and look nearly identical because after all, the assets will be again, the same.
Skyrim will get the same treatment as well, morrowind as well… meh

Guys, have you tried the Oblivion Association or Oblivion Association: Era of Change modpacks? Gameplay-wise, they’re more interesting than this remaster. The only thing better in the remaster is the graphics, thanks to the Unreal Engine, but it’s a shame they didn’t change much in terms of gameplay. I was hoping for a remake from scratch sadge.

if i have never played an Elder Scrolls game, not even a second of Skyrim, but i enjoy RPGs like FromSoftware games, and Final Fantasy type fiction, is this a good place for me to start my Elder Scrolls journey, or should i try Skyrim first?
