2 times at the most, anything more and you’re just wasting essence that could be spent on perks.

In new CODs, I never use the box.
Why would I? I can craft the wonder weapons and load in with the gun I want to use otherwise. I can buy more ammo if I run out. I genuinely don’t see the point of it in its current iteration. It’s not useful in solo and is barely useful in squads – and then only for getting a WW.

Now that we have loadouts, the mystery box is near obsolete. I wish loadouts were not a thing

Last time playing SV rolled so many times I got a calling card for getting each weapon once. Still didn’t get a MK 2

Y’all treating the Mystery Box all wrong. You see, you can’t just keep whacking at the box and expect it to respect you. To get respect you gotta give respect. You can’t just ignore the box either that’s just rude. You gotta treat Box right. Start of every game you gotta go hit Box ONCE, as if to say, “Hey Mystery Box, I know you’re here and I appreciate you” and not just *use* Box. In time, Mystery Box will grow to trust you and start giving generally good stuff. I get Laser Gun almost every game. My dentist is pissed.

fun fact: most people are 1 box pull away from getting the map’s wonder weapon. Keep gambling.

According to my directed mode nebula grinding habits… a lot.
Turns out, the less you have to do, the harder the weapons are to get. Who knew?

WaW-bo4: as many times as it takes
Cold war: never because trials are 100x better and I spawn with a purple.
Bo6: few spins before garbage point system and terribly box rng makes me get bored.

In this new era I literally never use the box unless we’re trying to get wonder weapons, and even then I’m popping a Wunderbar because idk how the hell I have 11 of them.
In the early days I mean that really depended on the map and my circumstances. There’s some maps where we try to hit it sparingly to avoid having to hunt it down. There’s some maps where we intentionally try to move it to a better place. There’s some maps where for whatever reason the game thinks after offering me the FAL seven times in a row on round 30 that on the eighth roll I’ll take it.
