Hey folks,

I recently installed a Silverstone DA750R PSU, and I’m just a little unsure about the power cord connection. The IEC 14 male connector (from the power cord) plugs into the IEC 13 female port on the PSU, and while it feels pretty stable and secure, it doesn’t seem to go all the way in — there’s a slight gap still visible.

There’s no wobble, and it’s not falling out or anything, but I just want to be sure this is normal. I don’t want to force it in and risk damaging something. Has anyone else experienced this? Should the connector sit flush, or is a small gap okay?

Appreciate any input!

Hello Ok_Eggplant7752, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

It should sit relatively flush, but as long as it is the same cable provided with the PSU, I wouldn’t stress too much.

Give it a wiggle and try to get it a bit more seated, but if it’s stable and you can’t get it any further in, it is what it is. Wouldn’t worry about it

Mines kind of a pain it ass to get in too, gotta use a bit of force. Happened with both the psu I used on that. Both same, cheap off brand just diff wattages.

  4. this is exactly how mine looks, but i’m unsure if mine is in all the way now 😭

In my experience, these connectors almost always have a bit of meat left outside the socket.

If it is seated firmly, does not feel like you can easily tug it loose, it should be fine.

They definitely do not all sit flush nothing to worry about.
