I've always felt like CS was missing this kind of long range, 10 round magazine, semi-automatic, slow rate of fire but very accurate one tap machines that isn't the AK-47.
For CT's the M14 or M1A and for T's the SVT-40 or Gewehr 43, even the FAL could work.
What do you think?

  1. It would be like the autosniper without the scope. Overpowered anyways.

  2. spacePARTICLE

Yes! Im ready for something new to be added into the game

As long as it’s balanced yes. If it’s some 1 shot headshot thing on the CT side- no

I personally like the idea and it would be way more interesting than the mp5 which was released and promptly forgotten, I wonder what the price would be on it? More expensive than m4 due to one shot? Cheaper than m4 because of semi auto?

Why would it not be an SKS? That’s seems to be the logical choice for a tap firing budget AK as an alternative to the galil. Similar damage to AK but awkward to use and reload.

  6. mtgscumbag

Galil and famas should be removed to make SMGs more used

  7. TrenchSquire

They have to conclude their Negev experiment first. You know when they patched the price and recoil pattern and called it an experiment? It was well back in csgo.

I think a KAR-98K type bolt action skin for the scout would be really cool

the SKS is the same calibre as the AK. you could have higher accuracy semi-automatic but higher recoil to compensate

but there is a reason why automatic 7.62 NATOs aren’t in the game, couldn’t scale well in balance. AR-10s, SCAR-H, G3. M240B would be funny

7.62s typically remove 50hp and one shot helmets (the semi-auto SCAR)

They should reduce the price of galil and Famas and also make them semi auto to compete with SMG

Remember shortly after 2 released and Valve said they’d add new weapons? Beyond that boldfaced lie, this should’ve been added that same day and every day since.

  12. That_Cripple

it would be cool, but i don’t see how they could balance them in a way where they aren’t OP but there’s still a reason to use them

Yes, kind of like what they did in Valulrant with the Guardian.

You gotta give them that to Valorant, they don’t have to deal with Autos like us CS players….

  14. Yunky_Brewster

Guardian was my favorite gun in Valorant, it would be fun.

  15. zivLeiderman

    you’re describing a deagle.

Tac21 or something like this was in the game files once so its not that out there

  17. xMachii

Remove the G3 scope, reduce the magazine size, and there you have it.

I don’t think it should be added. If you think it would be good because it is not disruptive in valorant, remember that valorant is an extremely different game. For example the scout in valorant costs only 900 dollars. Can you imagine? Valorant utility is extremely powerful so it makes gun balancingwork differently I think.

People always have this debate when new weapons are discussed, but CS has so many useless and terrible weapons that were nerfed into the ground in GO. Why are we focusing on new weapons when the current weapon pool is so bad? The same 5 weapons are used every game because everything else is so hilariously bad they have no use in competitive gameplay

I don’t think Valve wants a more expensive but more accurate Deagle, because while it sounds cool, one of the big things balancing the Deagle is its accuracy. For reference, the Deag is already more accurate than the AK.

I also wanted Valorant’s version of the Guardian in CS for a while, but the more I play, the more I’m okay with the Deagle being the only one that fits that bill. It also makes more sense in Valorant because First Shot Accuracy in that game is worse overall than in CS

  21. SneakySnk

They should balance the SMGs first imo

  22. 1stMembrOfTheDKCrew

Give us scopeless versions of the autosnipers

CS is missing one of these kind of guns (similar to guardian in valorant) and some actually usable affordable LMGs. Imagine if negev was reworked to be kind of like the Odin in valorant where it costs slightly more than the better rifle alternatives but also can be worth bang for buck on good wallbangs or spams…

I say this after having played cs2 and reach the top level on every platform and recently switching to valorant for a little bit getting near immortal. I really think something fresh like this, maybe even start the new guns in some new casual mode (god knows we need some new gamemodes) as a trial run…

If I worked at valve I would make them so much money. I’m so confident in this as a person who has played cs and all kinds of games for ages, valve is trolling
