I will attach a photo of the specs that I received in the comments.

I am completely new to PC gaming. I am 30 years old and have primarily always played console. Have been wanting a setup for a while and so I found this and spent $1300 on it from a guy that has a side business doing this. I went and then bought a 27” Samsung monitor and he had a keyboard and mouse that I bought as well.I went and just bought a simple table and chair for the time being to set it up. On my console I primarily play Fortnite and am looking to transfer that to my pc. I really want to do very well on the PC and get good at it. My questions are pretty vague but I would really like to hear your answers.

What do you guys think about the computer based on the specs?

What are some great agreed upon PC games for the most part?

For those that switched from console to PC, how difficult or how long until you felt as good or better and it becomes muscle memory? (I feel like I have to think extremely hard with every move I make let alone look away from the screen sometimes)

What am I looking for in a keyboard? I saw some that were the “half keyboards” that just have the primary play buttons instead of the whole keyboard and they look very intriguing but I’m not sure how optimal it would be

What purchases have you made that have been absolutely worth it?

Any info into the PC gaming world that you would like to share, I would love to hear it and thank you!

Hello csoutherland11, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

Aside from your questions having your PC on a folding table and having a big dog that goes under said table would make me very nervous. I would replace that with an inexpensive desk as my first piece of order.

Download Steam and explore game genres that aren’t normally played on consoles. Look for topics that align with your other interests. Maybe you like history and historical battles. The Total War series might interest you. It’s a RTS (real-time strategy) series that focuses on large-scale military conflicts. Or maybe if you like space, Eve Online is similar but can be VERY complicated. You’ll find a wide variety of genres to choose from with PC gaming. You just need to explore the types you’re unfamiliar with. But Steam or GOG is a good place to start.

Edit: EVE Online is also an MMO so that’s where more of the complexity might come from.

First of all great pc dude!! the specs are great and it can handle everything really well, but KEEP THE DRIVERS UPDATED, it’s super duper important to prevent it from slowing down too much as time passes, also don’t buy the “half keyboards”, they pretty much all suck and i would spend too much on something i can’t even type with, i’d recommend 60% or even 75% keyboards as they are compact but still have all the keys you need, brands like AULA and EPOMAKER are great, big companies are now mostly relying on their branding and overpricing their products, then you should buy a good mousepad, it makes a HUGE difference. To download games use a platform called Steam, it’s extremely simple and convenient to buy games there, you should consider getting Overwatch 2 (free), it’s really fun and fast-paced and you can also practice with bots to learn everything you’ll need. That’s all, have a good time!
