You can actually remove the recoil on your guns in settings
I tested a gunsmith with a gun yesterday and has the vertical recoil got up by more than 100%. Not sure which gun though.

And echo Maddox has one of the most easily controlled recoil patterns in the game.
If it was suppressed/capable of being suppressed it would easily be top meta
