I think it’s better too. But Nintendo is mainly about those exclusives like Zelda, and Pokemon.

how do i make this repeat over and over?

Nintendo will probably sell more in a few weeks than Steam Deck has in the last few years, so I don’t think they’re sweating much.

How many times do we have to remind everyone that these two devices aren’t competing with each other?

  5. You can give me a million games for free that I don’t give a shit about. Epic routinely does. And I’m still gonna happily buy a Switch 2, to play the Nintendo games I enjoy.

the entirety of r/NintendoSwitch2 is currently competing for gold in mental gymnastics trying to make it seem like the Switch2 is better value after seeing this.

Nintendo will sell cause of Zelda, Mario, and Pokemon. It’s the sad nature of the customer base. It’s the Disney of gaming. Parents will see Nintendo and think “this is good for my kid” and will buy it. The Steamdeck is for gaming enthusiasts to have something to play Steam games on. Vastly different niches they’re filling despite both being handhelds.

Best life is owning a high end PC along side switch. Best of both worlds, and I’m not a handheld game every where type of dude. I enjoy gaming on my OLED 34” inch curve monitor. I’m just glad Nintendo stepping up with hardware, and resolution just sucks still stuck at 16:9 🤢

I have a steam deck, but I also have switch 1 games but my brother owns the switch so I will probably get the switch 2 to play those games and that new donkey Kong game.

  10. for me, the majority of games libraries for each console release is just remastered stuff from the previous generation, and double the price.

Steamdeck and emulation has more than satisfied my gaming needs these days.

Both handhelds are for 2 completely different audiences

Switch games play better on the deck too heh.

To be fair, you’re not buying a Nintendo Switch 2 console primarily for the 3rd party games (Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, etc.) that you could easily get on PC or PS5 & Xbox. You’re buying it for Legend of Zelda, Mario, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Kirby, DK, etc. The exclusive Nintendo IPs is basically what’s keeping the system alive at that price point. Other than that, I’d play those games on a PC or PS5 if they were available

The backward compatibility is the biggest factor IMO. You don’t get to keep your games in Switch 2 without paying extra.

Steam Deck just works with a lot of older games on its own.

You can even emulate on it.

As a die hard Nintendo fan since the 80’s, I can say with all due respect to the Switch 2…

    ###WHAT THE FUCK!

They’re going to have to make a really damn good Pokemon game for me to buy a Switch 2. That or the Zelda I & II remasters I’ve been dying for.

  17. Mr_Microchip

Yeah bitch, I’m gonna have both. Love my deck, but I also love the switch

  18. thatwasfun23

Nintendrones fuming in the comments lmao.

Another post which makes me question why I subscribed to this frankly oftentimes immature subreddit

I literally don’t care I will buy a Switch 2 because I’m not poor and have a good paying job. Nice bait, didn’t work.

What games are the screenshots from in the steam deck images?
