The most recent character I promised loyalty to was Jackie Ma from Sleeping Dogs.

When they showed me his death I legit got sad and mad, it was like I got personally hurt because I thought he's the one to introduce me to the game nothing can happen to him.

    Baldurs gate 2 the dual wielding rogue dude was the best in my team and i loved the dude. Then end of act 4 or something he betrayed me and sided with the act boss, murdering my whole party with the OP gear i gave him…

    So not his doom but rather mine :-/

    Literally replaying Sleeping Dogs right now. It’s one of the best games of all time imo.

    When I divorced 12 years ago I was in a pretty low point in my life but my friends where there for me, I managed to take my ps3 with me before going to a safe house, when I got back to my own house everything was gone including my first hdtv.

    Long story short I saved for a new tv and the first game I played was Hitman Absolution and later X-COM on ps3 I named my squad after my friends and I remember going back to old saves just to take them all to the ending lol, those were stage days because I got back into gaming (my ex wife hated it).

    It wasn’t explicitly promised but Natalya and I were pretty close before she insisted on being in the crossfire of the control room for Goldeneye.

    Heck, after enough tries on 00 Agent, sometimes I was the one doing the shooting at her.

    Scelarius Fel in BG3, I was playing as Durge and thought him a bit strange so followed after him, only to realise in act 3 HE IS FCKING BHAAL!

    In Xcom, I had a soldier called Monica who was from Spain.
    It didn’t matter how bad missions got, I knew for a fact that if she was in the mission then I would win. Her RNG rolls were stupidly high for reasons I could not explain. She was never badly wounded and she somehow always managed to hit the target – even if she didn’t do high damage.
    I would stream for my friends and she gained the nickname “The screaming Spaniard” because it felt like she was always screaming some orders.

    The was the only one I can confidently say was there from the start till the end.
