Because it went so well the last time.

Didn’t xbox 360 already get one years ago? Along with the wii remake?

James Bond isn’t a proven hit anymore. Especially with kids

  4. Bunsen_Burn

All they had to do was allow 4k upscaling and give us a 3.0 controller option with modern mapping.

This game just isn’t the same when it isn’t on a Nintendo 64 controller with the weird technical restrictions, playing next to your friends. A remastered version would just be another shooter.

Its a rights nightmare, thats why almost nothing happens with the IP.

Still waiting on Agent 64. That demo was great

Too many right issues to deal with probably

  9. Imagine a remaster with mouse controls for switch 2, I’d actually play that

I mean there’s been thousands of better shooters made since then…..

What you realty want is a return to that comfort of your younger years when your entire life was still ahead of you. Now we are all losing hair and we have health issues….. and one of your parents are likely dead. And the bills…..omg the bills…..

Correct choice to make, it was a decent game when it came out but today it would have nothing to offer but nostalgia

Honestly, the game is kind of ass. It’s even more ass on n64 today. It’s clunky and the controls are just awful. It was a product of its time. There’s been dozens of better shooters since. I absolutely loved 007 when it came out. It was one of my first FPS’. However, It’s time to let it die.

The Xbox version is good, and they already have a failed remake.

Controversial opinion- golden eye was hugely important for that console generation and for fps but it had aged horrendously and doesn’t hold up well.

Leave it in the past and enjoy it for what it is- don’t try to make it compete with modern shooters. The changes necessary to modernize it will make it stop being what it is and leaving it unchanged isn’t really feasible option either

Can find the XBOX360 unofficial remake for PC floating around if you are looking for an upgrade on the next playthru.

its okay if you want to play nintendo classics just get a steam deck

  18. CMDR_omnicognate

I doubt Nintendo really cares anyway. it’s a licensing hellscape, even more now than it was before, just to re-make a game most switch owners would have never seen before that they had almost no involvement with.

I do not understand why they can’t just come together, release it on all platforms with crossplay and everyone gets their cut. It’s what would be best for the companies and consumers, but fuck that, I guess… So stupid

Between some version of Doom on ultimate and goldeneye they were the 2 hardest games I have ever played at the highest settings and beat them both. Goldeneye was so exacting and well programmed that to beat each level on the highest setting basically required perfection. Each shot had to be a headshot and you had to move in a specific way to even beat them. Doom was just that there was not enough ammo and once you are out all you had was a pistol to take on the hardest guys at the end. Both super hard.

Xbox: Enter my remastered world of fun and fantasy intrigue

    Nintendo: Ok Xbox

    Xbox: Multiplatform release

    Nintendo: No Xbox

Somethings simply shouldn’t be remastered/remade/live-actioned. Maybe devs could- perhaps, have an original fucking thought?!
