    >A remake or remaster of Bethesda’s beloved Oblivion has been expected for years, and has been the subject of numerous industry whisperings in recent weeks. Eurogamer understands Bethesda’s current plan is to shadow drop the game next week on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, including via Xbox Game Pass.

At this rate, I won’t even find time to eat lol. Still finishing South of Midnight, absolutely waiting for Expedition 33 and haven’t even finished Avowed and now this. We’re eating so good !

  3. hovsep56

again this “shadow drop” i have yet to see any event that’s upcoming where it could be shadow dropped.

like are they just gonna upload it on steam with 0 trailers?

  4. Howitzeronfire

Is this a next week leak or a end of the year leak?

  5. Monstar132

Now Modders need to port Skyrim into Oblivion.

Based on what? I’ve seen this assertion multiple times with no context for why they think that timing is accurate.

  7. jedidude75

Is it going to be as moddable as Skyrim?

  8. Frustrable_Zero

They’ve been saying it’ll be shadow dropped tomorrow for two weeks now

  9. DooDooHead323

We got an oblivion remaster before GTA 6 is actually crazy

Ugh. I hate and love this. I’m off work next week. I was wondering how I’d spend my free time. I hate being provided such an unproductive answer.

I do not get the marketing (or lack there of) for this game.

You’d think they’d be hyping the shit out of this? Why keep it such a secret??

  12. pornaccountlolporn

Screenshots have a different artstyle than the original but that’s not necessarily a bad thing to me, looks pretty cool

    Bateman meme:

    *”Impressive. Very nice.”*

*”Now let’s see Elder Scroll VI.”*

    I….

    just don’t get it.

So Bethesda sanctions an unofficial ‘remake’ of Oblivion in the Skyrim engine for years (Skyblivion)… only to then actually drop their own remake???

  15. ReadShigurui

Finally i will play Oblivion, I don’t mind older games but that game was so fucked on my Xbox One lol

  16. Remake, REMAKE FOR THE LOCE OF GOD. The lack understanding between the two is depressing

  17. No-Pollution1149

Never played Oblivion and this should be on Gamepass so I’ll check it out for sure..

Since the rumours have been ramping up, I’ve been telling my boss that I’m using a week of leave to do nothing but play it when it comes out. Might have to actually book it in tomorrow. A whole day for making the ugliest character I can, then 6 more days to constantly restart, not knowing what build to go with. Good times.

All I want is the Steam version to get controller support like it had on 360 so I can enjoy it on Steam Deck.

“Patrick Stewart has also joined the efforts, with an entirely new voiceover that adds whimsical and elderly qualities while downplaying the determination and ferocity of his original character”

  21. CapPhrases

I’ll play it. After the inevitable patches though. I mean this is Bethesda

  22. Jarppakarppa

I heard they were going to shadowdrop it tomorrow.

  23. Chardan0001

    >Title: Remaster

    >First sentence: Remake

  24. synthwavve

I wonder if the NPCs will still be voiced by the same three voice actors

  25. LebLeb321

I got stuck in an underground dungeon with no save outside of it a decade ago. Maybe I’ll actually finish it this time.

  26. montybo2

If it actually is real thats pretty cool.

I’ve started oblivion like 5 times and never got further than just outside the dungeon at the start. Dunno why I gave up each time, could be ADHD or graphical mods not working, or some combo.

Regardless I’d be excited to try this

  27. mrfoxman

Isn’t there a huge decades long project of porting oblivion to Skyrim’s engine? Or was that morrowind? Seems a bit fucked to put all that work in if it was oblivion, only for them to make an oblivion remaster.

I will also play the SHIT out of an Oblivion remaster… for at least a week.
