Nah, they just don’t care
Remaking old maps could be such an easy W for Valve.
People are begging for this constantly and I get it.
Valve are almost certainly turning these maps into full remakes like they did with the other maps that were teased together with the maps you have shown: baggage and train.
Too much effort
Because dust 1 was too ct side.
It’s sad to see that shortdust has no place for the old dust 1 B site. But I really think they should release the remakes of the wingman maps in a sort of return of wingman update. Maybe even add dust2x2 or even just support for all competitive maps in wingman
Gotta make more skins
They are all maps that heavily favour one side or are just plain bad for team play. There is no point in adding new maps that don’t have the potential to see pro play.
It’s crazy how valve went from being the absolute shit, to now doing everything in their power to accomplish absolutely nothing. It’s like they actively put in effort to do nothing at all. You know when you’re trying to be lazy but you put in more effort being lazy than just accomplishing the task?
Probably because they are not done yet?
Maybe similar situation as Train, they showed it off all sunny but then decided to change it
They don’t care, they see the case opening revenue and realize it doesn’t matter
I think they should just remove the gameplay entirely. Why waste time playing when you can be opening cases.
Would’ve been so easy for them to just add these maps to wingman and cache to competitive (not premier)

Because Valve forgot what made CS fun and focuses only on esports(barely) and gamba these days.
They can’t put new maps in gacha mechanics, that’s why.

Too many things still broken, cs2 feels like a beta game right now.
They should fix the community browser. Make public servers great again.
Dust1 and Atztek were abandoned as unfixable and completely remade as Anubis and Ancient.

Canals and Lake are my two favourite maps by far, it’s incredibly disappointing to see them missing still
cuz it wasn’t a “leak” devs were too lazy to remove them, same as dz strings
Valve took a very crappy approach at releasing content updates for CS2 where they give the playerbase breadcrumbs, the playerbase is happy for a month and then they’re starved again. The game is making crazy amounts of money because of the gambling so Valve has all the signs telling them to not invest in the game because they are somehow doing enough.
So yeah it sucks to be a CS player today.
