Europe isn’t a country – there are different exchange rates and GDP per capita in different countries of Europe, broad price bump doesn’t make any sense and it’s going to affect some countries more than others

While this sucks to see. It’s almost certainly due to US tariffs.
Most of the manufacturering is in China, which is now. tariffed.
People in US won’t pay double for a PS5, Sony won’t sell at a loss. So they hike prices elsewhere to offset the losses they are expecting.
Would definitely have waited until after the Switch 2 releases.

I haven’t played anything since January because I’m fed up with the state of the current gaming industry, the hardware and how poorly every game is optimised these days. Maybe this is it… the time that I’m moving on to other forms of entertainment.
