This has got to be the most interesting pricing for a console cycle we’ve seen. It started off at the lowest and has been increasing since then. I got my digital for $500 cad in 2020. It costing €500 now is insane, and equivalent to ~$750 cad.

Recently went back to my PS3 and also older games on Steam/GOG that you can play for like $5 and I’m having a blast.
I can keep doing that until the current gaming market crashes and prices go back to normal again. There’s **tons** of old gems I have never played waiting for my time.

That around 100$ price increase here in NZ compared to what I got one for over Xmas on the digital version with the Fortnite cobalt skin bundle, I don’t play Fortnite so ended up selling the skin code for 80$ which was crazy in itself but seemed to be what people were paying
