Now this is a route with a little more chest hair.

To be fair, there’s a level 34 basilisk near that Eastern bridge, so it makes sense to avoid it at least until level 30.

Ghost of Tsushima, Witcher 3 and Rise of Ronin are the only games I have done this for because I enjoyed them

Based, and just to make a point of why this is so based in Fallout 3 the best content is the side stuff and it’s not close.
TheCursedMonk
Can’t believe someone would skip so much of the game map in both of these pictures. Might as well just view the game cretits on youtube and save the whole time.

Just started my third attempt at playing the Witcher 3 (hoping i can actually stick to it this time) and every single fucking time I see a question mark on the map, I think of this image. I saw it like 5-6 years ago and it has for some reason left a lasting impression on me
Moribunned
I’d have started with three in the southeast and hooked down for the one a little above them before moving on to the objective.

This is why it’s taken me over 80hrs to play it so far and I’ve only gotten past >!Vesemir’s death!<

By the time I start the main story, I’m almost max lvl.
Warm-Iron-1222
The only thing stopping me from doing this is in some games when I try and get my shit kicked in because I’m too low level. I’ll be back though.

Real shit.

To be fair, the shortest path is usually blocked off.
RealTilairgan
I remember when I played Skyrim religiously and I had too many damn objectives I’d take basically a tour around the map, starting at Falkreath and going around to Riverwood, then Whiterun, then back around to Ivarstead and Riften, then Windhelm, then Winterhold, Dawnstar, Morthal, Solitude, then Markarth.

I could only do this with the first open world game I ever played. Far Cry 3. Tried it again with Watch Dogs. Couldn’t do it

The exact reason I never finished Ghost Recon Wildlands
I hate when games do side quests like these. If a “random encounter” is marked on the map for you to go there deliberately, then it’s not a random encounter.

Distance to target 2300m. 15 min later, 1800m…..I wish I was kidding.

Might as well get them along the way right

same. I always do that if it’s a game I enjoy.
So just gonna leave out those four questions marks on the side?
Thats why i hate „exploration“ markers on maps. Gets rid of all the exploration and replaces it with „exploration“
Witcher 3 was the only game that I felt the need to check out every question mark. Tried that again with all the AC games, couldn’t do it.
You missed 4 of them. Not a true completionist.
Yes. But you do end up arriving all levelled up with nice gear by the time you get there though.
I see no problem here.
Like I’m that efficient…
