just make it so you lose a bonus of some kind if youre late.
who tf is going to pay a merc to try to steal a car, have them SUCCEED, and then bail on the whole thing when they have to wait an extra minute? it just doesnt make sense.
if youre that time constrained maybe you should fucking plan ahead so you dont need to last minute hire a merc to steal a car for you.
