Maybe nVidia is actually waking up. Or maybe all their failures with their drivers mean this is an accurate price.
Lets hope the first one.

Also the rtx 5070 ti is at msrp or lower
ColonelBoomer
Because people realized the 5070 is trash tier.
Wonderful-Lack3846
At the same time;
RX 9070 XT have dropped from ~€820 to €760 now. Making it now more competitive against 5070 ti.
While RTX 5070 ti cost €890
**EU prices compared with EU MSRP:**
RTX 5070 (€610) is €30 below it’s original MSRP
RX 9070 (€680) is €40 above MSRP
RTX 9070 XT (€760) is €70 above MSRP
RTX 5070 ti (€890) is currently at original MSRP
TheBoobSpecialist
Lucky. The cheapest 5070 costs €800 here and the 5070 Ti starts at €1200.

Still paying over 600 for a gpu with only 12gb vram feels bad
InevitableMission102
I see 2 listings on some shops in france for the rx 9070 at 629€, but they’re always out of stock. The ones in stock are 679€ indeed.
I think the rx 9070 should be below 600€ in europe in order to be a little better performance/€ relative to the rx7800xt. Meanwhile the rtx5070 has no business being anywhere close to 600€, especially with 12gb.
luuuuuku
The 9070 is incredibly bad value in Germany (compared to 7900gre, 5070, 9070xt etc) but people still buy it.
Don’t know why, but AMD GPUs are pretty popular in Germany and people actually buy them even when there is a better value NVIDIA card.
notnastypalms
finally some good competition in the gpu market W for us consumers

I think the reason is the greed with vram. It is very cheap in the grand scheme of things, and on a mid-rangd (historically) card, should be able to run any modern game easily. 12gb of vram is on the fringe. It can run most games, but to do so easily, you should have 16gb. I would bet if they gave it that much vram, then it would match or our price the 9070. I know they limit it for market segmentation, however, they are pushing people in the arms of AMD. At any rate, this is a good sign for competition, I hope we see more. Then maybe we will see sane prices again.

I will still argue that Nvidia is looking terrible for long term: just look at the sitty driver treatment previous generations are receiving. Not long before RTX 6000 series are released and RTX 5000 series get buggy drivers too
Impressive-Level-276
This is how market works, especially when there is real competition
CellTastic
yeah not surprised the price has gone down
just a basic rtx 5070 is not too good of a deal the 5070 TI is much better
Il_GranMaestro
I bought my 9070xt for 662
quocphu1905
Gee it’s like high demand for 9070 is driving cost up while nobody wants the 5070 so the prices fall. It’s supply and demand the better product gets more demand so prices go up.
Particular-Fifalover
Not in America 🤣
No_nam33
I have the money and I want the card but I have been holding out due to bad prices
Even at 600€ I’m still not convinced for a 12GB card. 9070 with extra 4 GB memory seems more attractive. Imma wait for that cards price to drop.
DisdudeWoW
not here in italy

I still would not want a 5070 (12gb) over a 9070(16gb) when the price difference is only €70
KookyBone
I bought my RTX 3070 for 350€, the next time I will buy a GPU will be when I get at least 50% more performance for less than 400€, else I just keep mine… Not worth paying 500+ € for 10-20% more performance.
WardAtWar
So what do you think? Should I wait or pull the trigger now on a new GPU? I was looking at getting a RX7800xt [(here)](https://amzn.eu/d/iByWOn3). I currently have a 1080Ti. Just want to see what you think. Will the prices continue to improve, or should I get it now.

wtf 12 gig card, nty
Dawn_of_Enceladus
Still overpriced tho.
EU-HydroHomie
Nobody should be spending that much on a 12gb card.

Price in Singapore for the 9070 XT is dropping in price as well.
Mundus6
12GB card in 2025? No thanks. I would still buy the 9070 tbh.
UltimateSlayer3001
I’ll be buying a good gpu for $500 for 1440p, if it takes a year so be it. Gone are the days of dropping $750 for a PC part, I’ve got a backlog, I can wait.
enesup
Bought a 7900XT for 688 after tax. Worth keeping or should I hope to find out he 9800XT for somewhere close to MSRP
Takeasmoke
here: 850 euros 5070 and 9070 XT, 5070 Ti is well above 1000 euros and 9070 is about 750 euros
tell me which EU country is the cheapest so i can contact local gastarbajters to buy me one!

Give it a bit more and it’s worth it in the current market
Everybody make a wish, nVidia is beating AMD in FPS per dollar.
97% of 679 EUR = 658.63 EUR > 609 EUR.
