Yep, you get a wunderwaffe for “killing” him but if you swap your weapon you lose it.
If you already done the Easter egg before this game you will always have the waffe every time you kill George

Honestly one of the coolest mechanics from the old black ops games, it was nice to see diff items show up in different maps, though it was tedious considering one person had to have finished the Easter egg within ur team for everyone to be able to finish certain things
