I dont know why. From the looks of it I should like everything about Terreria. I tried many many times but the game never pulled me in. At this point I stop trying

Did you try playing it with friends?

Elden ring. As a long time ds2 and 3 fan. It just doesn’t feel like it matters.

  3. clothanger

my friend didn’t like Terraria but he loved Necesse. maybe you can give it a try.

Stellaris. I love SciFi, I love games like Civ V, I love management games. I even love watching my BF play Stellaris, but playing it myself? I dunno why, but it just isn’t for me.

  5. Neemoman

Witcher 3. So boring. Either I skip the cut scenes and basically miss the entire point of it, or I watch all 300 hours of them and tap my foot as I just want to play the fucking game.

As someone that loved animal crossing, Stardew valley

  7. CoG_Comet

No man’s sky always looked so cool to me, I remember when the game was announced and I was excited for it to come out cause I love space and sandbox games but my god do I find that game boring

Control. I have loved every single one of Remedy’s games. But for some reason I cannot get into Control. I tried 3 times and finally just admitted to myself it’s not for me.

  9. The-vicobro

Sekiro. Beat it out of spite, hate that game.

  10. a1steaksauce12

same here with terraria. I thought I would get hooked, but I just hated the controls and how it was 2d. (at least on xbox)

The Horizon games. I love a good open world with nice progression, story seems interesting and it’s fucking robot dinosaurs. But for the life of me I can’t get into it.

    Skyrim

    Open world

    Exploration

    RPG

My bread and butter, but God I got so bored of it.

Metal Gear Rising. I’m a big fan of Platinum’s library, but Rising? It SHOULD grip me, but just doesn’t. Maybe it’s the 15 minutes of cutscenes before any actual gameplay, maybe i don’t find the goofiness funny, maybe the combat is too complex in some areas.

That problem with terraria is that it almost requires you to use the wiki because there is so much to do and discover that there is things you won’t even know exist even if you have hundreds of hours in the game and the start is the worst and most boring part because it takes time to set up your loadout

After doing 200 quests for angler I hate it.

    Baldurs gate 3.

Too many options, too many variables, too many missable relevant things, npcs, situations.

    TOO MANY.

There’s no way these posts aren’t just a karma farm for bots. I swear this question is asked like every day.

    Rogue Trader.

Love turn based RPGs, love Warhammer 40k’s lore, the opening theme was also very hype.

Could not get to grips with it, and after running around for an hour or so in the same zone trying to find an anti air gun I had already blown up because the objective hadn’t updated, I decided that was enough. Even the guides I ended up looking to for explaining why combat was working the way it was didn’t help much.

  19. Rhopunzel

RimWorld, and I’m not just saying that because I worked on it

  20. untitled39103

I’m so glad i’ve found someone else who can’t get into the game. I still try frequently to this day, and i always get bored and leave

  21. Kashkow

The Persona series. I just finished FF7 Rebirth and was excited to try something so highly rated and (I believed) similar. Bought Persona 4 and found it to be a tedious grind with very few redeeming features.

  22. dreamdiamondgames

    RDR2 I just can’t get past the snow tutorial…

  23. TakeOff_YouHoser

Red Dead Redemption, either of them. I love RPGs with great stories but I don’t love Rockstar’s vibe and I don’t enjoy playing a criminal. I hear I’m missing an S-tier video game feels moment in RDR2’s ending, but i’ve tried playing and it’s just not for me.

  24. Chambersxmusic

Currently, Red Dead Redemption 2. I’ll have some TV our youtube nonsense running in the back when I game and RDR2 requires 100% of your attention to really appreciate the details. Everything takes time, which is part of the charm but a vibe I have to be in a mood for.

Terraria was a tough nut to crack for me, as I didn’t realize it was a wiki open type of game. You’ll have to do some research on what you should be shooting to look for and do next to have a real game plan, or figure out how to make certain things. Playing with a more experienced player helped tons

    Witcher 3.

I’m a huge fan of the books, and I think that hurts my enjoyment of the game series.

I can never shake that feeling I’m playing someone’s elaborate fan-fiction.

  26. lovesentence

Tactics Ogre. I thought I would love this game since I love Final Fantasy Tactics.

  27. HermioneStranger_

Spiritfarer! On paper it’s exactly what I’d want in a game but I got bored very quickly

  28. Valenderio

I love football and playing football but I can’t play Madden it’s fucking boring to me.

Also being military and having been in actual combat during my career has ruined a lot of FPS combat based games for me too like Call of Duty or battlefield. Love weapons, love firing them in real life and on shooting courses but I can’t for the life of me sit in my house and enjoy them on the screen.

  29. Windykato

Hollow knight, i adore the atmosphere and am a huge fromsoft fan. This game should be perfect for me and i really want to play it more but just can’t every time i sit down to it.

    Ori!

I love love love Hollow Knight. Everyone says to play the Ori games next. They just feel super clunky to me.

  31. LithiuMart

Ghost Of Tsushima. It has everything the Assassins Creed games have (and I’ve bought and finished them all), but I gave up on it and stopped playing.

  32. RyeGiggs

Terraria is something you should play without spoilers. Just general direction on what to work on next. The exploration of the game is the fun, if you play with people that know and give you items you have ruined the game for yourself.

  33. LittleStarClove

As someone who loves Stardew Valley, Pacha.

  34. Lloyd_Al

Witcher 3 just lost me after a 1-2 hours. I can’t even explain it because I actually liked it.

Fallout new vegas took me 3 tries. Not because I didn’t like it but because right before the battle of hoover damn I had.the feeling of missing so much and starting to wander around to find more content and then just abandoning it. 3rd time I added some QoL-mods, actually played it through (plus all DLC), and felt stupid afterwards.

  35. TFT, I have a thousand hours in dota underlords, love live multiplayer autobattlers, but just can’t seem to get the TFT ball rolling.

  36. SuicidalChair

Monster hunter, it looks so cool and so fun, but I feel like I’m just button mashing and I have no clue what the hell I am doing. I don’t have the energy to memorize combos and dodges so I don’t think they will ever be my jam.
