The show was alright, definitely watchable. If you are a fan of the games but by itself it wasn’t anything special.
However, episode 6 was VERY well done and had almost no spoken lines, which is difficult to pull off in any kind of show animated or not, and they did it well.

He was asked no less than half a dozen times what a producer does and he could not give as straight answer or stay on topic.

Maybe I’ve just been conditioned by DC to just accept so many different versions of my favorite characters as elseworlds or other dimensions but I really enjoyed this. Yes, lady sucked. Yeah, Dante’s devil form blew and there was some outdated CGI but I actually loved the addition of the Makain people and the lore it brought with it.
It adds an interesting moral position that must be considered In this universe.
I thought Ep. 6 was beautiful and haunting and it’s stuck with me since I watched it.
The White Rabbit’s storyline was infinitely improved by this iteration.
As a fan of the original anime as well, or the games, I get why people don’t like this but I thought I was a high octane fun ride. I, for one, can’t wait for more and I welcome your down votes.

As a casual DMC fan who played the PS2 games, I loved it.
It was a fun show and I’m really glad they are making more.
I went to the Devil May Cry subreddit looking to chat about a show I liked and the place was so negative about it. Everything wasn’t exactly how it is in the lore. Nitpicking small inconsistencies.
Fandoms really are the worst place to express enjoyment of an adaptation.

Im very glad, Season 1 was good, but it was obvious that the beginning was just the setup for the series, the last 3 episodes were so fantastic, I seriously cant wait to see more

FYI, Netflix will often produce two seasons of an animated series as a single order. It is why S2 seems like it has such a quick turnaround after S1 is out. They will then rarely produce anything after that, unless it is a mega hit.
