Absolutely loved this game, and playing with buddies was so fun.

I remember after the game came out, the rash of people complementing women on their awesome fat princess cosplays, only to be told they were dressed as Princess Peach.
Such a masterpiece game it deserves a remake

Maybe for now, Sony would do the same thing they did with the Patapon games, do a remaster and launch it to the Switch, PS5 and steam and if the reception is good, they would do a sequel.

Yes! I’m with you. It was a blast playing with my family. There is a good rise of couch games. Especially on the Switch. Busting out couch games at gatherings makes things so much better. I’d like to add Fat princess back on my list.
This is my and my wife’s favorite game to play together. I would absolutely love a remake.

I played the demo over and over again when i was a broke student. Would love for it to come out on PC now and be able to play it for real.
The game is still playable online, I’ve watched a friend/ streamer do so, you just don’t have a lot of human teammates. That said, I’d still love a remake

This and Resistance: Fall of Man were my first real online multiplayer titles. I remembering just hopping into match after match, a big smile on my face the entire time.
Fat Princess really was just so creative. The colourful visuals contrasting with the buckets of blood. The CTF medieval gameplay combined with RTS elements. The fact that you selected your class based on what hat your character picked up (and could even pick up the hats of dead allies and enemies to change mid-combat).
I honestly think the big reason the franchise never really took off is that they basically achieved everything they wanted to in the first game.

I absolutely adore this game, it was very fun, the look was very unique, it was chaotic and the roles were a blast, you could gather resources, sneak in the enemy base, build.
I think a release in these years would be so successful, add some new game modes and new characters and maps.
And the gore was pretty funny too, just random bits after explosions and the giant eating people so fun.
Oh my god, finally, thank you. This game was so great and it’s just such a bummer that nothing else has come out in the same genre worth mentioning, that I know of. Genius game and absolutely deserves a spiritual successor.
