I think the Caliburn is very ugly without any fuss, I prefer other cars that are much more beautiful and detailed, for example the Quadra-Type-66

Because the random NPCs have terrible path finding to begin with, and basically no awareness of the world around them unless they hear gunshots.

I installed a mod to disable cops for this very reason. I don’t feel like being punished because the team couldn’t design a half decent NPC behavior system that keeps them from running in front of me at 150mph+.

For some reason, ever since 2.0, npc seems more likely to try to avoid your car by dodging in the direction your coming from instead of the opposite one

If you imagine that thereās a laser pointer shooting straight out the front of your vehicle, if, at a certain proximity, that ālaserā hits a pedestrian their AI tells them to dodge out of the way. They start their dodge or dive animation at that point to get out of the way of the āpredicted pathā from that instant in time. In the time it takes them to animate that movement, youāve changed the path of your vehicle and WHAMMO!!
Try driving straight down a sidewalk (in game!!) and see how much better the pedestrians are at getting out of your way. Youāll still get a few with their backs turned to you thoughā¦ price of science.
Should the pedestrians default to jump/doge/dive away from the street at all times? Probably, but not in my Night City.

I had a deer once shove its head in my wheel well while I was going 20mph at night on a straight road. NC pedestrians are deer. Really though, I just assumed they wanted to discourage GTA 3-style mindless rampages by enforcing some respect for the public with self-annihilating NPCs and immediate consequences for harming them.

Thats the only reason i use Simple Menu (or similar Mods).. To get rid of the cops fast if this happens unintentionally. Just turn police off and on again and its gone and im at peace again lol
