Guys I’m posting this tomorrow, reserved

I’ve been trying to point this out since 560.xx was released that the nVidia drivers are starting to act weird.

In my own experiences, everything post 566.36 has been causing weird variation in my GPU memory clock speed. It’s almost like nVidia is trying to plan obsolescent people on older GPUs and force them to the 50 series and use the latest drivers to play the latest games. My GPU is fine, I have no memory issues on the VRAM, stress tests come back amazing. Temps are excellent. But these new drivers are bonkers and wild. All my bizarre memory clock issues go away when I revert back to 566.36 or older.

Declined, runs smoothly as ever. 4070 ti.

Are these driver issues with specific games? I installed the latest and the games I’ve been playing feel almost smoother than before?

    Shitshow?

This is basically every single time, the newest update is usually very buggy.

I don’t get that popup nor have Fortnite crash this year

Is Nvidia trying to nerf all but the 5000 series cards thru driver manipulation?

  8. Journeyj012

the drivers broke lossless scaling for me lmao

  9. Plus-Intention-8439

I’ve seen a popup notify on TLOU2 Remastered saying that need upgrade to controversal lastest driver for better performance, but 566.36 run fine on my 1660 Super

I also noticed that there hasn’t been a driver update in several weeks so I think Nvidia is been working on all of the issues.

Yeah I had this pop up on Fortnite yesterday. On lastest drivers on my 4070ti super. Fortnite ran HORRENDOUS. Downgraded to 566.36 and instantly ran better. Even jumped on cs2 and saw an increase in frames. Wtf is Nvidia doing !

Recently updated the driver since the last time I did it was last year. Not long after experienced screen freezing/black screen and stuttering even in easy to run games. Just downgraded to 566 and have no problems since.

I have a 3080 up to date drivers and no issues whatsoever. Currently playing Ark Ascended, which is an optimization shitshow by itself, and runs well.

Maybe it is a specific series or model that is conflicting with latest updates, idk. Would be helpful to read what issues these drivers are causing though.

It’s been clear that Nvidia doesn’t really care about their gaming parts anymore, AI and professional work is where the focus lies for this company now, much more profits

Tbh I’ve been using the latest drivers for a long time now and I’m always updating as soon as a driver comes out and as of right now I haven’t had any major issues like black screens, weird temps and clocks, crashes, etc… be it in Fortnite or any other game. I have an RTX 3070 Strix OC

  16. lockieluke3389

drivers since last October have been problematic with Lumen and HW RT

  17. Typemessage1

Pretty sure it doesn’t say that.

I got that same pop up, and I haven’t updated since before the 50 series launch.

So it’s claiming that the driver I’ve been using, all of a sudden has issues with DX12?

    Yeah…

If anything, it’s attempting to trick people into updating Nvidia drivers, as it doesn’t even specify the driver.

No where does it say “Don’t update”. They left no recommendation. Just told you something vague, which many will take to mean “I need to update!”

Furthermore, it’s clearly insinuating that you need to downgrade to performance mode.

What are we doing here, guys?

Looks more like a plot to get people to update their drivers. I highly would recommend not to.

Edit: Another thing, you all should be very, very cautious dealing with corporation like Nvidia and Epic in the current climate of the US. You don’t really need more examples their anti-Consumer tactics. Epic has literally been sued multiple times for their behavior.

Now with deregulation coming…you can put it together.

I’m interested in knowing if this pop up only, or mostly, appeared specifically for Nvida users.

Not a single comment asking why OP plays Fortnite. It is a platform to suck money from kids’ parents.
