I’ve had very cheap fans go on for 10+ years, that bequiet fan “just” breaking is very strange

I had the decorative metal disc in the middle of a video card fan fall out. A very alarming sound indeed.
My old Noctua fans… All of them had this same result. Plastic lost all the elasticity.

I’ve had this with a gpu fan on a msi card but those tend to be a thinner / lower quality. Personally haven’t had this happen to any of my be quiet fans.
