I’ll never forget watching the E3 demo for this. This was before games like uncharted and huge open world games had been demo’d. It felt like a true generational leap in video games and everything about the demo felt perfect. From the climbing and crowd mechanics to the animations and art style – the fact that they accidentally died at the end and we got a glimpse of the animus menu layered the whole thing with an air of mystery … it was perfect … so sad to see what they let happen to the series and company as a whole
