Not from a legit store I hope. You bought this off ebay or something didn’t you?

Best Buy open box package? Seems fine

It’s either already used or it’s a fake…

let me guess, another amazon bargain buy.

Better run some benchmarks on the drive first to see if it’s worth keeping. The last “refurbished/used” I had purchased off Amazon clearly was lacking in performance. Ended up returning my previous drive for a brand new one for faster read and read/write speeds.

Amazon send me one like this last year. SSD are flash based, you can have an ssd external hanging off a usb and swinging and it will still copy at the designed read-speed.

Looks good to me.

use Samsung magician to check the validity and make sure you update the firmware as the older ones burn out the drives

I had a RMA from Crucial a few weeks ago. It was a 1TB BX500, so a small box, as you can imagine.
It arrived in a large 18″ x 12″ x 16″ box.
I opened that and there were two 18″x12″x8″ boxes inside.
On had “Empty Box” stamped on it.
The tiny SSD was in the other.
I twas shipped from Mexico to Europe like that. Crazy.
