I’m starting to build up a lot of stuff .. that I’m no really sure what to do with. I really don’t want to sell it, the idea of haggling over prices … not interested. What do you guys do?
My previous rig is still in use hooked up to the living room tv. If something is worth a few bucks I will underprice it on marketplace just to get it out of the house, if it is not really worth selling I take it to the area electronics recycling place.

HiFr0st
assemble what you can and donate to kid shelters, schools, whatever

Assuming none of my friends are looking for a budget build, I sell them on ebay.
Training_Supervisor
I give them to my less well-off mates so they can play the new games… Better than sitting there collecting dust. I’m literally never going to use it again…
memorygant
I always sell them off in order to make upgrading more affordable, no accumulating old stuff and save a bit of money, but I do wish I had some of my old GPUs purely for the sentimental value.
Bounty_Hunter66
I either pass them onto to family members or sell on Facebook market place.
Pseudolos
If they work, I give them back to the computer guy so he’ll give me new pieces at a lower price.
If they are broken, I use them as paperweights.
saxovtsmike
sell the stuff as to refund the new system. Sadly now I have gaming kids that want my old stuff as a trade down (for free)
EnviousMedia
give them away to friends who cant afford upgrades.
Von_Awesome_92
I always sell the parts locally.
Used to sell them because i needed the money.
Now i sell them on the cheap to make others happy. Not everyone can afford new hardware.
Cpt_Sandur
We have a collective backup PC in the family where everyone dumbs their old parts to keep it some what up to date. We host an Xmas Lan party each year where it gets to shine. Rest of the parts we sell off.
OdeezBalls
I usually give it away.
RuasCastilho
Maybe mount another Pc and sell it.
The good side in spending on the best components is that 5 years laters you can still pull some decent money from the set up.
A 4090 will still be very good for games 5 years from now, doubt someone will pull something heavier than GTA VI.
kenny_1337
I give my old computers and laptops to my nieces and nephews.
ScoopyGiles82
Update my kids pc’s
TwoCylToilet
They end up as servers or are sold.
Zarndell
I’m just underpricing stuff and mentioning that I don’t haggle. You come to pick it up and that’s that.
SociopathicPasserby
I gave away about 1k worth of components and accessories to my sisters boyfriend.
Tvilantini
My previous rig was so old that mostly especially the case (totally different from todays standard) as well as non modular off brand psu was thrown away. Old mobo and cpu with cooler put back in original mobo box. The only thing is the gpu that will be framed
Apprehensive_Swim955
I sell them on Facebook Marketplace
Tyr_Kukulkan
I have a ridiculous collection which I really should do something with…
Safe_Chicken7421
WOW, I can never afford new components without selling the old ones!
pivor
I’m poor, I sell everything
Mayoo614
Keep them in storage as a backup in case my new parts fail early. A few years later, my wife will get mad at all I accumulated and I’ll go put them in proper electronics recycling, since they are not worth anything anymore for resale.
Vinstaal0
Pass them down the chain, either to friends/family or I sell them
I expected to zoom in and see some nostalgic parts but everything there is from the last 4 years or so?? There’s like almost three recent PC’s worth made in this decade and 4 motherboards. A 3090 and a 7900 GRE for some reason.
What is your life?
Rootsyl
uhhh 7900 is old gen? When?
MrBobSacamano
Bruh. “Old gen”.

SnooEpiphanies2035

ravynmaxx
I send them to friends like other people.
TrickleUp_
I display them weirdly on a shelf to show myself and other people who definitely don’t care about it
