Without the iron cross they’re basically just liberty prime.
Yeah I think it would still look recognizable as being from Origins without the iron cross, as long as you asked your artist to add some of the biplanes and dilapidated structures from above the trenches. And some of the background clouds.
But the robot alone wouldn’t register.
I would personally steer clear of any actual WWII symbolism
