This reminds me that the car I bought has one Type-A jack for connecting Android Auto and rest are Type-C. I need to get some cables.

is there not a fricking usb a on the entire thing? What do they think we have, USB C mice?

bunch of usb-c, double ethernet, frigging spdif yet not a single video port? I don’t mean the damned thunderbolt
One_Scholar1355
**USB-C everything.**

I mean this is what i hope we end up with. but its far too soon.
and i expect Type-A will live on for decades more in the same way PS/2 did/does

I mean, some one has to push the change for change to happen. It is the time to change to usb-c and I hope we start to see more mobos like this one. Devices will follow. Transition periods will always be pita…

Aside from the outrage of all those USB C ports and not a single USB A in sight, kinda interesting to see a dual port nic and 5G 10G no less
Reggitor360
The new Tai-C looks weird. 😂

LOL what a meme.
Realistically I’m okay with this sort of IO, I use docks/hubs anyway. A single one of these ports breaking out into a 10-port hub for all of my peripherals is easier for me to handle
EroGG
I don’t have a single device that is type C and plugs into my motherboard and the peripherals I use are only a year or two old. What is the point of this? To use peripherals made for smartphones?
TechOverwrite
At least it has 10Gb Ethernet, that’s a win.
Mr_Chaos_Theory
Wait what seriously?
No joke thought this was someones photoshop.

“Backwards compatibility? What’s that?”
Hellzer0
I hate everything about this
Scretzy
This is eventually gonna be every motherboard, and most tech will switch to USB-C. I think this mobo is quite a bit ahead of that time so it’ll be annoying for now, but some day that’ll be the norm on every PC
pc0999
To be fair almost every new product I see is USB C.
Keep0nBuckin
Depends on when you got peripherals and where but most mice are still usb a. Keyboards tend to split as there are some that have a simple usb or usb c port and you plug what you want. Anything that uses a wireless dongle tends to be usb a.
But I get the point of a type c as it allows more current and more ports.
Only this is a few years early as peripherals haven’t caught up fully .

1 type-a is pretty much needed. There are a lot of new products that use type-a in 2024

What I hate most about type-C is that it’s physically weaker connection, like, every type-c plug I’ve had feels like its gonna fall out under the lightest wind.
Acceptable_Mode5837
No type-c ethernet? Rude.
ParanoidalRaindrop
Sooooo where does the keyboard go?
Homicidal_Pingu
There’s 2 TB ports you can just get a dock and not bother with the rear IO

I remember a couple years back a company I work for issued me a USB-C only macbook. The trouble? All the company accessories were USB-A and they didn’t get me any kind of converter.

Can’t even plug in the keyboard….

what?! How am I supposed to connect my non Type-C wired mouse and keyboard?! I don’t like wireless because of the need for batteries.

I mean, honestly id be down for that lol, get some splitters on each of those with some extension cables

Good. We’re not gonna move on to universal type-C usage if type-A is easily accessible
Muhamed_95
People have to be forced to switch to another port. It’s not a pleasure but it has to be done. You can buy USB-C to everything cheap nowadays so it shouldn’t be a big deal
awkwrrdd
Am I crazy to have durability concerns about usb c ports? I feel like the connection is so much less mechanically secure than a or b simply due to not inserting as far into the port physically.
XxToasterFucker69xX
don’t buy it, if you don’t like type c just find another mother board, there are tons of other options
