Elon Musk is an asshole. A profiteering, alt-right billionaire polluting minority neighborhoods and complaining about being a victim despite all the people he’s hurting. A supposed “free speech absolutist” who supports political candidates that want to make it a crime to criticize them. And who amplifies alt-right assholes on the platform he bought and is currently destroying in an attempt to influence politics.
Teslas shut off autopilot MILLISECONDS before a crash so that they don’t have to claim responsibility for the crashes. Despite their faulty tech being responsible for it.
He’s also begun polluting a mostly black neighborhood in south Memphis with a useless “supercomputer” that uses up more power than the entire neighborhood combined, all without even allowing them to voice their complaints. And he’s doing this without the legal permits required for such a facility.
Almost every good thing Elon has ever done was actually one of his employees having to explain to him why it would be a good PR move and then doing it on his behalf. Most of which were later fired for trying to continue doing good things with his money. When he actually gets involved in something at one of his companies, he always ruins whatever it is they were working on. Because he insists he knows better than his employees and forces them to go along with his plans under threat of firing.
If there’s one person alive today that embodies megacorporations and all their horribleness from cyberpunk, it’s Elon Musk. Though assholes like Bezos are close behidn.
