From recent video posted by “Moore’s Law is Dead” about pricing being much worse than even I anticipated . From video Nvidia is leaning towards the higher end of the pricing. Nvidia can go pound sand if these are remotely true.

Nvidia is really testing the limits of how much we’re willing to pay.

  2. jmpstart66

I hope way less people are willing to shell out that kind of cash

They couldn’t keep the 4090’s in stock when they first came out for $1700, they were flying off the shelves. It’s no surprise that the cheapest 5090 will be $2k, hell some of the 4090’s are / were $2k.

Those cards better be sucking something else aside from wattage when they sell them at those prices.

  5. Fhnooblet

Maybe if I start saving now I will be able to afford a used 5000 series card when the 7000 launches lmao

Oh boy.. This just means they are gonna be selling lots more of 40 series and not really discounting them. Consequently, used market prices gonna go up to.

Then again, with AMD not really competing in the high end and their AI commercial GPU seemingly more profitable.. going forward, the gaming GPUs gonna cost more and more. No incentive for them. I wish Nvidia to break off Gaming GPU division and let them operate independently.

Damn…. I was considering going Intel/NVIDIA when I build my next Rig in January. I honestly think I’m going double AMD after the 13th/14th gen issues and now this insane pricing leak for 50xx GPUs.

Wouldn’t be surprised about the 5090 being $2k, but I’m going to take rumors with a grain of salt

If anything this is kinda telling me they want to get out of the gaming video card buisness.

Why sell to consumers when they can sell to companies like microsoft, open ai, and X?

    “Wait for 50 series”

    Yeah, go on, keep waiting.

Hmm used car or gpu… This is getting stupid

Wow, these prices sucks plus the rebranding of the 80 to 90 series really tests the limit of gamers. And the fuckers still an ass when it is with the fucking VRAM sizes, it’s criminally low for the price for any of them. At this point the 5060 is a rebranded 5030 on how underpowered for price it would be.

It’s funny that rooting for Intel to succeed in their GPU is now a must as the market stagnated already. AMD isn’t even being competitive anymore while Nvidia is just straight up doing the former Intel CPU department does with the upgrades since 20 series, with the 30 series being the odd man out of them, pushing everyone to the highest chip for a “reasonable” upgrade while making their chips a furnace.

Less than 16GB on XX70 card is crazy

  15. Blunt552

Wost part is we know these will sell, as long degenerates keep buying, they’ll keep raising the prices.

  16. saxovtsmike

And we (not all but enough of us) gonna pay it, proof me wrong

Because more FPS is allways better, and with acutal optimisation of games, there are enough people that want 4k>100 fps, where a 4090 can´t deliver

Next is any IO Or cuda implementation will crave for a 32gb card and AMD has left us in the dark in the high end, because we are guilty of still buying nvidia, even if AMD makes a good product

  17. Xc4lib3r

And the 5090 and 5080 would still getting sold like crazy. No wonder Nvidia keep jacking up the price.

  18. JimmyTsonga

Glad I don’t need a new GPU. This is nuts.

If 5070 is just a slightly better 4070 Ti, I will just keep my 3090 Ti I bought for $700 just before 4090’s release. I had real doubts about it when buying (I thought about waiting for 4000 cards but thank God I didn’t) but I had found a really good deal and it seems like now it will even keep performing competitively with the purchasable 5000 cards.

Maybe, if I put $100 or so to the side every month, I can buy a 6090 without messing my finances. Time to start a GPU jar =(

That said, I am one step away from being a console peasant. I already dabble with my Switch.

  20. Fallen_0n3

MLID = false news. But knowing Nvidia the prices are probably gonna turn out true. Big sad if the new 70 only matches the old 70

  21. Welp, next upgrade will be with AMD or Intel I guess.

Until then, my 3080 bought day one for 720€ is still doing pretty well

  22. SignalGladYoung

I would hunt used 4080 today for best value 1440p system or 4070ti £500. it’s enough for 1440p until 60 series.

  23. psych4191

The 5090 has reached the same price range as the Titan line. Fuck that shit lmao.

Also, 1500 for 16gb from nvidia, or go the AMD route and get 16gb for ~500. There’s no way the next gen is even remotely close when it comes to price vs performance. No shot.

  24. pinezatos

My PC costed 2.5K without a GPU upgrade, this is gonna more than it, especially if I don’t buy FE, this is so FUBAR

  25. AllMyFrendsArePixels

Moore’s Law: Technology performance doubles every two years.
Nvidia’s Law: Technology price doubles every two years.

can we kill nvidia with hammers and swords
