Can't close the case though!

Built for running Llama 3.2 70B + 30K-40K word prompt input of highly sensitive material that can't touch the Internet. Runs about 10 T/s, but really excels at burning through all that prompt eval wicked fast. Ollama + AnythingLLM

Also for video upscaling and enhancement

Surely there must be a better wiring solution? O_o

  7. Wiring aside, I feel like there are better cases designed for things like this? Also, this seems like a type of buld where custom water cooling is a good idea.

DId you at least have enough money left over for a monitor?

  9. AzuleStriker

    I…. can’t even imagine 1 4090…. and you have 3… jeez.

Is there a reason you’re using a DDR4 based motherboard and not something newer with DDR5

save some power grid for the rest of us

About $6,500. $2,200 for the threadripper + mobo + RAM+ one of Suprim’s used on Facebook Marketplace. $2,000 for the other Suprim used. And $2,000 for the 4090 Founders Edition used. $150 for used EVGA PSU. Only thing new was the case for $140.

The alternative was a loaded Mac Studio M2 ultra for about $6,000-$8,000, with more potential for larger models, but significantly slower prompt eval.

    And I hate Apple products.

The 4090s do better than Quadros in your use case?

  17. Hot damn, I bet that thing would render Blender frames real quick.

    Nice build.

  18. Miserable-Phase3870

    I have never seen a 3 GPU’s mounted like this. That’s insane 😆

  19. disposable_account01

Why not add a second PSU and daisy chain them like the miners did? Then you can run the GPUs full-tilt.

  20. PC has been taken over by Sentinels from The Matrix. RIP 🙏

  28. ScumBucket33

And then you’ll need to upgrade to three 5090’s soon.
