From me its do the side quests and dont rush the main missions
Oh.. and if you’re anything like me prepare to be hurt emotionally, as for me atleast the game has a record of doing that

This is prob for every RPG game, but take your time. This game is massive. I wasn’t expecting to have so much to do on my first playthrough . Also, try to make decisions you think can result through the best outcomes.

Don’t dwell too much on the choices throughout the game. You’re going to play it again hahaha
Oh, and it’s quickhacks OR sandevistan, try both and see which suits your playstyle better

That I’m going to be emotionally torn apart, put together, and torn apart again multiple time throughout the story
Simple_Enjoyer1
I started playing it in day 1, a lot of stuff changed since then.
Try to make the game enjoyable for yourself. Make a good build, don’t follow any side story that makes you uncomfortable. Have fun

a few little side things to kinda help you establish eddies and street cred. dont worry about only doing missions and stuff for money. what i did was in the beginning of the game, after the life choice introductions, once you get your tab at vik’s he gives you a little database that basically marks these things called “NCPD dispatch”. do as many of those as you can and want to, literally loot EVERYTHING there till your inventory is full, and SELL the guns but DISSEMBLE the clothing. selling the guns gives more money than selling clothes and everything else your inventory because guns are an abundance in this game. doing those dispatches also both levels up your character and ups your street cred, giving you access to better tier weapons, cyberware, components etc. but most importantly, PAY VIK BACK IN FULL. hope you have a nova time in NC choom.

None. I watched the teaser trailer that was released 8 years prior and then a release trailer and that’s it. The less I know the better….I don’t want anyone ruining anything story or gameplay wise. Go in blind.

When Hanako calls, she can wait. A long time. Really a long long long time 😇
Don’t rush the main story, 80 % of this game is Side quest, activities and discovering things where the dev put so much effort to decorate or put in place…. Knowing that just a bunch of us will find that cause there is no quest or activities leading to this point.
Night City may look “small”, once your inside, you can literally dive in. Do it.

Don’t use attribute points right away. Figure out your play style for a few levels. You can only rearrange your attributes once
N7-Eschaton
The biggest tip is to not rush the main missions. I am back playing it again after 2 years, now with the Phantom Liberty DLC. The game still presents the main missions too quickly in my opinion, and the sense of urgency makes it feel like you ought to do them immediately, but you don’t.
YellowFogLights
Get to the heist ASAP. Get Johnny. If you don’t and do a bunch of missions around Watson beforehand you miss out on a bunch of his quips.
Hwaitingfaito
I hope you also got the Phantom Liberty expansion. It’s amazing and something I would play alongside the main game when you get to the point in the story where it opens up.
Aggressive-Luck3448
Don’t quit half way when the story or side missions get boring, just beat the game and give your honest opinion. Remember that each playthrough could get drastically different from the last depending on the choices you make and that every choice should have a second thought before doing it. That should be all I think, have fun choombatta.

There are random quests that are unique to each path. So make sure to play the game at least 3 times to get the most robust experience.
Also, congrats on the purchase. You’re in for a ride. Have fun!

I wish I knew it was gonna be so good. I wasn’t sure cause I don’t usually like cyberpunk, but this game made me a fan of the genre. I am still very picky with my types of games but this one is in my top ten now. I had no expectations at all, just like with Elden Ring.

Take your time and don’t rush thru the game. Do every mission, if you want buy phantom of liberty. Also every decision you make impacts the game.

Take in the details, read the data shards in gigs, eavesdrop on conversations in gigs, and be mindful that many missions play out differently if you go in loud or quiet. If any gig requests you go in quietly, you’ll get extra pay for doing it quiet and you’ll also usually see the story details of that gig.
Most of the Gun for Hire gigs have different outcomes if you go in quietly and nonlethally. You can talk to most of the assassination targets to hear their side of the story and you can spare a lot of them. You can also take them out nonlethally and transport the bodies to a dropoff location for different outcomes.

Everyone is repeating “Don’t rush the main story” and I’ll add to that chorus. It’ll make you feel like it’s urgent when it’s not. People will say “don’t keep me waiting” and you can keep them waiting for years if you please.
Take your time and smell the roses

They make the plot seem timed. It’s not. Do things at your own pace.
Attribute points cannot (to my knowledge) be reallocated. Perk points can be at any time. Now stat wise it’s difficult to ruin your build but you should focus on two main attributes. Perks can always be redone at any time so try different things.

Pick up every gun and sell it or break it down into parts. The game doesn’t have a great consistent way to make money in it. You can do jobs and hunt cyber psychos but eventually you do them all and you don’t have a great way to make money after that. At least not one I found. One of my few complaints about the game. I haven’t played the dlc at all.
