The desk is a very original idea! As far as I can see it is a floating desk with nightstand for additional storage. Do you have it mounted on the sides or are there supports on the back as well? Also, you could mount the monitor to the wall or to the desk and use wireless peripherals if you are going for the clean minimalist look. You could also store your headphones on the left night stand or pick up a headphone hanger for the left wall or under the desk.
